And I can think of more boring fighters than Ward. The issue with Ward is that he uses all these veteran tricks that piss people off.

I'm watching a Ward fight. I settle down. He lands one combination. And the remaining 2 minutes 30 seconds of the round just seem to disappear. He eats the clock up. Round Ward. But it leaves me rooting for the other guy. It has too.

Ward maybe the superior boxer out of the two but I know whose fights most fans would rather watch. Carl Froch = fans' champion.

Ward doesnt take punishment, and makes his opponent look silly. Usually causes for a fight that isnt too exciting, ala Mayweather, Hopkins, Bradley etc etc
Guys are penalized for being complete well rounded defensive fighters..
Boxing is always more exciting with both fighters get punched in the face..
Casual fans dont appreciate the sweet science

Who cares if the Showtime team enjoyed Froch's fights "much more", winning is the prime objective. They do it in two different ways. When its all said and done, Ward will beat Froch and you guys will cry about it. Thus, I can't wait to see the threads following the fight.
