I'd like to think that if he can withstand the heavier punches of a cruiserweight, it can somewhat give him an edge in a rematch with Tony at JR MW that followed. The Jr fight would see Cotto finding ways to load up on his punches with hard combinations and throwing off the bigger man using good mobility. Both Chavez and Margarito are slow stalker types so if Miguel can effectively learn to nullify the pressure they bring with lateral movement and tying his man up from time to time, both fights are as good as won.
