As average as Chavez looked, he was 180 pounds on fight night. That's a big task for Cotto. Those body punches he was throwing were hurting a full middleweight, so I don't think Cotto would be invinsible to damage against jr.

I prefer the Margarito fight, but I think either fight presents it's challenges, even though I would favor Cotto in both.

I am not sure Zbik is a full MW. He weigh in at 158 and on fight night he was 163-165 or something like that. Cotto on his 147 days came in at 160 on fight night most of the time so I am pretty sure in his las 2 fight he has come on fight night over 160 probably 164.

Cotto would be a favorite against either Margs or JCC Jr but moving up to 160 is a bad career move right now. Fighters that move up in weight rarely move back down with the same effectiveness and his only option after a fight with JCC Jr @ 160 is Sergio. At this point Sergio @160 would destroy whats left of Miguel's career.

Staying @154 to unify titles against Dzinziruk/ Bundrage or a ring title against Cintron are great options for now, especially after a win against Margs if he can pull it off. Than he can let the chips fall for a big money fight: Ortiz, Alvarez or Berto (if Andre can pull a few wins together) @154 could be huge fights, maybe a rematch with Pac if the public demands down the road and imo 160 should be kind of a finale to his career, Chavez or Martinez.

It'll be Cotto-Chavez with the winner facing Margarito. Top Rank: Dragging the sport into the ****ter.

I think people need to take into account everything about Chavez Jr.

First off, he's never had 1 amateur fight.

Second, he didn't start boxing until he was 16.

I think the kid has heart but you are right, Cotto does beat him but I don't think he destroys him as you think. Chavez would come in at 180 and Cotto would have a serious size and power disadvantage.

Cotto would win but it would take rounds and possibly make it to 12 full rounds.

I feel bad for the kid because no matter what he does in his career, he will always be a "bum" to most because he can't live up to his name.
                      Cua,

Don't you think that maybe because his record shows that he is undefeated that maybe is part of the reason why peeps hate on him.. I at least saw him loose 2 times.
So, do you really believe his record is accurate?
