Bam!!! This is the thing with Cotto's and Pac's stans. They ONLY want to blame it on Arum. It's both the boxer and the promoter.

i am a fan of cotto. like miguel cotto's family, we are all praying that margarito's orbital bone and retached retina heal in time, so that JR doesn't Duddy him.

The promoter can ask, convince, or try to steer a fighting in a particular direction, but the final say lies with the fighter. It's always been that way, anyone who thinks otherwise is foolish.

"My team and I will talk to Arum and we will do whatever makes the most financial sense." -- Cotto

If you've been following the Bradley case and you are siding with Bradley, you should stop talking.

Regardless of who they pick, they both would represent something for Cotto & the fans to be looking forward to..

Margarito-->It would be interesting cause just like the first fight, it will be a war & it would give Cotto a chance to try to avenge his 1st loss..

Chavez jr-->& this 1 would be interesting cause it will give Cotto a chance to go for another world title at another weight class & if he wins(which I don't see why not)he would be the 1st Boricua to a world title in 4 different weight classes..

No matter what, in both fights he's gonna get paid good money..My guess is he's looking to see which 1 pays the most & that's gonna be the 1st pick..(& he made it quite clear when he said " I am not leaning either way. My team and I will talk to Bob Arum and we will do whatever makes the most financial sense.")

Try reading the article first..Cause Cotto DIDN'T say he had "No preference"(at least those were not his exact words), that was the headline of the article..In other words Ryan Burton who wrote the article came to that conclusion & I'm pretty sure he didn't put it in that context(that Cotto is afraid or something) it was more like he'll fight either 1(Chavez jr or Margarito), but the 1 that pays the most, then that's who he'll go for..

Cotto's exact words were--" I am not leaning either way. My team and I will talk to Bob Arum and we will do whatever makes the most financial sense."

Cotto does not care who he fights, whoever brings him the most money thats who he'll fight

he's a prize fighter for chrissake. All these guys are, sorry to break it to all the haters of Pac out there who think he's harming the sport by "cherry picking"

Bottom line is Cotto should WANT to fight Marg. If he thinks Marg cheated and he wants to revenge his loss, he should want this fight.

I like Cotto, think he's a top notch fighter but sometimes his passive ways have cost him fights and money. He doens't have to be a trash talker like Mayweather but call some people out, it would help his career.
