with chavez though obviously he knows he'd get beat and he's milking him. he had a vision last year about chavez vs cotto and he's doing everything he can to make that happen. The bob is thinking about money - cotto vs chavez could probably be a decent PPV. martinez wouldn't be and chavez would get schooled.

It shouldn't be shocking arum doesn't want chavez to fight him. this is how promoters work. You, we, should be more upset if the WBC allows this fight to happen. If they don't strip chavez for not fighting martinez, that's what should be outrageous.

Although I blame Arum for a lot, I agree with this statement 100%

are you complaining about? Their is "NO" perfect promoter that will give moron!c boxing fans like you what they want all-the-time?! Fighter's needs to get promoted and marketed to be known and sell their fights to the casual fans. And not every boxer is built to be a "Superstar" or has a superstar material. Just like not every actor or actress or singer or musician can be a "Box-office" hit.

Lou DiBella needs to promote Martinez more so he could put many A$$es in the seats and not piggyback on some others fighter's popularity just to get mentioned?! Whats the use of being a "Linear Champion" when their is no one to watch you win?! You compete because you want recognition and to make a living and no just become a "Fantasy Champion" in someone else PSP or XBOX?!

If you think Chavez vs Martinez brings more money then you must think Martinez is a bigger draw than Cotto, which is a joke in itself.

I mean Martinez should have thought about this (becoming a draw) when he was fighting tango dancers and fruit salesmen down in argentina.

He has no one to blame but himself.

Larry you're being delusional, living in a dream world.

In no way does Chavez-Martinez make more business sense than Cotto-Chavez. It's not debatable.

No one's d!ck riding, people are just realistic while you're complaining over a fight that's not gonna happen while making no attempt to understand why it won't.

haha, larry is admitting floyd didnt fight a single threat all the way up to WW, including his illustrious reign as a LW. His resume after at WW and above is even worse, thanks for confirming

                  Floyd won't fight at all.

You should be more concerned with that. Seeing as how he came out of retirement with this "hit list", one would think that you clowns would be pressuring your guy to fight more than once a year, and actually fight guys in the weight class who are in their primes.

Larry in 2009 - "Yippee, the king is set to return and he has a hit list to shut y'alls mouths".

a 2 fight lightweight Marquez, and a 38 year old gun shy Shane Mosley who hadn't fought in over a year and a half.

                  Some hit list.

Again people start business with the sole purpose to make the most money possible and maximize their profits. If you don't get that, then there really isn't much else for me to say to you.
                    [Floyd]Boxing is a business[/stans]

Its funny how suddenly, they don't care to shout that out anymore. But it was all we heard when Floyd was ducking Margarito and Cotto by saying they weren't draws.

Arum at least wants one good payday with the kid before Martinez ruins him. Fight doesn't make any sense at all when it comes to furthering Chavez's legacy except it does help Cotto's by getting a middleweight strap BUT at a catchweight, but still doesn't do ***** for Chavez but make him a lot of money before he gets knocked out by Martinez if he doesn't lose to Cotto.
