Martinez fought nothing but fruit salesmen and tango dancers for years, and every one is wondering why he isn't a draw. Atleast Bradley is smart enough to realize he has to align himself with a better promoter, get marketed better so that he will have more than family members and close friends come see him fight. Sergio would be wise to do the same thing.
draw or not,,hes the linear mw champ..nothing else matters..zbik,clottey,mosley-never been draws

i honestly don't think any of arum's fighters (let alone most fighters today) give a **** about their legacy. yeah, they might act like it now, but they kind of have to when the cameras are on them, to please their fans....it's all about getting paid imo.
what's that one fighter who said "all belts do is collect dust"? haha, sadly, i think that's what most fighters deep down think about boxing now a days

Answer this; which fight makes more money, Chavez vs Cotto or Chavez vs Martinez?

I mean everyone who wakes up in the morning, and goes work, would jump at the opportunity for better pay. Yet we cry when a guy, who is a businessman, tries to go for the most money possible.

Again people start business with the sole purpose to make the most money possible and maximize their profits. If you don't get that, then there really isn't much else for me to say to you.

Martinez isn't a threat to Chavez. He's a no brainer, hands down, walk through of the kid. That fight is a foregone conclusion so, yeah, Top Rank isn't in a hurry to cash their novelty act in and split the proceeds. So what? Why would anyone want to see someone as awesome as Martinez waste time on B-sides?

To be honest I go to work and give two ****s about the company I work for or our customers. I go to work to get paid, so why would I expect fighters to be different?
