Bute's #1 ranking is a practical joke.

Yes I did and I still do. He's perhaps the best contributor here and I love that he takes the time to argue with fans regardless of how moronic they may seem.

    PS: Lol @ Cliff lol'd.

However you should remember that Ward's dominance (or 'owning' as you called it) was aided by some illegal stuff and you should also remember that you in your report from Kessler-Froch didn't say that the fight could have gone either way but rather "there could be no surprise when the scores came in 117-111, 116-112, and 115-113 for Kessler." In other words a close but clear win.
The illegal stuff is wildly overstated in Ward-Kessler and Kessler, at 40+ fights into a career, should have a clue about how to handle it. Evander used to lead subtly with his head too. lewis and Bowe stiff jabbed and uppercutted him and beat him. Kessler failed to properly use his jab and was clueless that night on the inside. I liked what I saw yesterday with Kessler working the left to the ribs and the lead, short left cut more. Montoya is having a positive affect.

As to Froch, I acknowledge that there are quite a few people I respect who scored for Froch there and the fight had some swing rounds. With different eyes, it could have gone the other way, I thought Kess won pretty clear but it was a war and, again, have to assess a total package of six bad ass fights in a row, four of which have been jaw droppingly fun to watch.

        Thank you.

And big ups on picking up on Calzaghe's jaded ex-girl's (has to be, right? Who else could be so devoted to singular hatred) nickname for me. She's been trying for years to get anyone else to notice on here and is still obsessed with a piece written almost three years ago.

I'm moved to have such an affect on your life.

And, yes, still stand by what I wrote then.

He shouldn't be number one. I will be shocked if he signs to fight Kessler this year.

Don't make suggestions...the world is a scary place. Someone inevitably WILL name their kids something like that.

              Poor kids.

I even rank Dirrell higher than that bum Bute, his overall skill set is better and a win over Abraham and an arguable "loss" to Froch is better than anything Bute has to show for his pathetic career. Keep in mind Dirrell only has like 20 fights and hasn't fought in a year.

The fact that Kessler was incapacitated after the match and Froch continues to do well against top opposition shows who the real man was that night.
