rubio is the wbc #1 contender, but Martinez is emeritus champion which should earn him a shot at the belt - just like when Vitali Klitchko came out of retirment and got the shot. But wbc makes up their rules as they go along. Theyll find a way to sanction chavez v. cotto so they can get a sanctioning fee on the multi-million $ fight.

everyone knew arum wouldnt let chavez go anywhere near Martinez, since Martinez isnt promoted by Arum.
Just like last year, when Arum said Marquez wasnt worthy of a 3rd fight wit Pac bc he wasnt proven at welterweight. But as soon as Marquez contract wit golden boy was up, he was suddenly worthy.

i thought chavez jr would be too big for cotto but after watching jr fight tonight, i expect cotto to whoop jr. easy. its true though that chavez jr will be alot bigger than cotto.

Jr weighed 180 tonight, that's only thing he would have over cotto. Even with that, Cotto beats the kidd.
