The Court Laws in France, for instance, are straight from the Code Napoleon, which still more-or-less governs France. There, you are presumes guilty until you can prove your innocence. There is no Jury, and you are investigated by detectives under the Judges instructions, and then questioned by the Judge in court. (A court d'instrucion, I believe)

I could be wrong here, but this is the way it WAS, as I was growing up. I'm not sure if the EEC regulations have altered this or not.

the people who say he has no right to say that about pac are calling him a crackhead.... where is their proof hes currently on crack? should they be sued or apologize for their opinions? how can they say the mayweathers ruined pacs reputation but in the same sentense call them crackheads, gay, and all kinds of other ****?
I think it's all about "PROOF". There will be NO trouble in proving that Mayweather is/was a drug addict. Has he not been in prison for it, and arrested several times for it???

indeed. that is 100% true. alot of fans dont know the nuances of the sport.
thats the thing.... i spar regularly (just recovering from bruised ribs), and i fight with a "floyd" style of fighting... thats the reason why i respect pac for his punch output and willingness to trade... i can also appreciate floyd's immaculate defense & ring IQ...

it would be awesome to see some of these keyboard warriors meet up and set up a friendly sparring session ;P

it would be HILARIOUS to see all the floyd & pac impersonations

i cant disagree with you on that... good post.
but honestly, i dont see the asterisk being a factor.
his recent choice of opponents are hurting his rep, not false accusations.

i think most media recognizes the lack of proof and dont intend to push the issue... the media shifted to his lack of opposition, which he DEFINITELY is guilty of.

if pac is a dirty fighter, i wouldnt be surprised if the news breaks YEARS after he is retired. time will tell

Ray leonard never went up to Light heavyweight, he faught that fake title match at Supermiddle, and accomplished 2 things. He forced Donnly Lalonde, the Lt'heavy champ, to make weight inside the Super Muddle limit, all the way down to 167, whilst he, Leonard, made a forced 165. It was aPR stunt just to publicise the inauguration of the brand new 168lb title. leonard otherwisem never fought at lt. heavy.

Also, the records say, I think that Leonard began his pro career at age 21, as a welterweight, closer to 140 than 147, which only lasted for a few fight when he bacame a ful fledged welter.

I don't know where you have found the feather-weight (or is it super-feather) start for leonard. but of course, when he was a kid of, say 14-15, he might have been that weight.

It has NO BEARING on his career, which, after all, was as a professional fighter.

Rather misinforming, all of your post.
Sorry, I misread your post, I assumed that it was about both obinson and Leonard. I should have paid more attention, it was the "light-heavy" thing which misled me. However, everything I posted is true according to history.

The reason I didn't associate Robinson with lt-heavy, was, although he fought Maxim, and had him well beated before he collapsed in the 13th, he wasn't even closed to 160 for that fight..which I actually saw at the time it was fought. He weighed in at 157, I recall and after the fight, drained by the over 100 degree temperature at ringside, and Maxim's drooping all over him, pulling him down, he weighed only 147, a welterweight.

i believe that Maxim entered the ring at about 185 lbs.

If Mayweather SR truly believe on what he is suspecting about Pacman, then why can't he be man enough to file formal complaints against Pacman in his homestate Nevada governing Professional Boxing or to any World Boxing Bodies?

Why can't he even convince the BWAA, that Pacman is on steriod?

You think the Court will believe him without any solid proof or evidence that he
                    can present?

I won't be surprise if he loses in the defamation suit filed by Pacman against the Mayweathers.

Many of the top analysts and writers have never boxed a day in their life. Do judges have to have ring experience to judge a fight?
