    Martinez isnt a star.
    Martinez isnt a draw.
Martinez doesnt put fans in seats.
    Martinez doesnt bring in money.

If he wanted money. Hed be calling out Hopkins (like he has in the past), Cotto, Floyd, Pac.

All guys mind you that he called out before. He wants to fight Martinez because hes the best.
No Martinez is not a "cash cow" but hes the only money fight available for Williams.

Those guys have no reason to fight Williams. But he can always use his "win" in the first fight to get a 3rd fight with Martinez.

Martinez has nothing left to prove at this weight class, he owned Pwilly twice already and 3rd time might kill him in the ring. Pwilly is a pusshole who needs to be fighting at a much higher weight class, his game plan is to lose as much weight humanly possible so he can abuse midgets with his height and reach. When he's on a equal playing field he will get his Derp derp head bashed in.

Pwill needs to add 10-15lb of solid muscle and move up derper, or does he want to make money off midgets for the rest of the career? Pretty good odds when you are 5inches taller and 8" reach advantage every fight.

If someone needs to add 15 lbs of muscle isnt that evidence they dont need to move up?

How do you explain Williams signing to Pavlik twice. i guess Pavlikw as a midget too.

And have you ever seen Williams fight? He uses his height and reach 5% of the time. My goodness.

I wholly agree with No Ceilings. I really do not understand the hate Paul Williams gets, because he actually signs to fight anyone from 147 to 160, and, then, actually fights them. He's an action fighter who mixes it up with everyone he fights. How can a boxing fan not enjoy watching this guy. It just doesn't make sense to me. I think he makes tactical mistakes by not using his height and reach, as pointed out by No Ceilings, and by fighting too much inside the pocket with his hands in his pockets. But, the guy is a fight fans fighter.

The idea that Williams should be fighting at 168 makes little sense to me. Do you see Carl Froch making 147 any time soon? How do you think Williams managed to make 147 if he should be fighting at 168? He's tall and thin. Anywhere from 147-160 is okay with me. Further, who gives a ****? If he makes weight, he makes weight.

A 3rd Martinez fight? They're trying to end Paul Williams career. Sergio has his number.

cant say no to an exciting fight, even if I did have Martinez winning the first fight anyway.

worst case scenario: Williams gets KOed again. Well, I love knockouts. thats a win to me.

credit to Williams. I dont particularly like the guy, but he has an exciting style and is always willing to fight guys that most other people avoid. I definitely can respect that.

Williams will lose to Martinez again. I don't see Lara being a big problem for Williams unless he's mentally done.

Well said my man. People who hate on PWill are casual fans who don't really know the game. PWill has never been beaten up in any of his fights prior to Martinez II and he wasn't beaten up in that fight either. He got caught with a punch he didn't see. People shouldn't base his career on one fight. They tend to forget (or just didn't know) that no one wanted to fight him before his last fight.

He was, and still is my favorite fighter, but I'm curious to see how he rebounds in the Lara fight.

i was hoping HBO were smart enough to know a third fight between martinez and williams needs to happen.

alot of fans dont know boxing, the think if someone scores a brutal KO they are superior to the fighter they knocked out in every way. even if that fighter in question already beat him once.

they dont seem to realize that anything can happen in boxing, and u only need to make one mistake to lose in brutal fashion. getting caught doesnt mean u dont have the tools to beat that fighter or that the shoe wont be on the other foot next time around.

williams and martinez are made for eachother, paul has all the tools to knock out martinez and vice versa. this time we might get another outcome.
