The fact that people are clamouring for Pac to step up another division already to face Sergio Martinez says it all. No one thinks anyone at 147 can live with Pac and that there is no competition.
Pac has hardly had time to breath and catch his breath and settle, and calling him a ducker for not fighting in the 154 division.
Pacs critics say Pac never settled in one division long and now they want him to jump ship again. Cant please some people.
No idea why people catch feelings over valid opinions. If by someone's criteria, Pacquiao is better/greater than Armstrong (and vice-versa)... then they are entitled to that opinion, so long as they can debate reasonably for their position.
You know whats wrong with stup!d people of today is that those mor0ns and id!ots keep comparing athletes in two-different timeline and say that "this guy is better than that guy" or vice versa and they know that those people will not compete againts each other in the same ring or in the same playing field, ever?! The funny things is those people has also a stup!d following?! I admire the athletes of the past because we have learned from their accomplishment but to say that they are much better than the athletes now is a "Big Baloney." The reason why Olympic or World Records of the past get broken so many times because of training progress and the fusion between athleticism and scientific marvels. Athletes now are bigger, faster, stronger and smarter... which means that they are so much better from their predecessors?!

It's not valid, though.
Surely the opinion has to be reasonable?
If someone said Sandy Saddler, for example, is greater then Henry Armstrong then that would be unreasonable.
On the other hand, if someone said Willie Pep is greater than Armstrong then although many would personally disagree atleast it is reasonable.

But people like you go out of your way to try to discredit Manny and modern fighters in general and then when your 'logic' is used to criticize fighters of the past, then you catch feelings. Perfect example is you thinking Pacquiao being compared to Leonard is tantamount to blasphemy, and then when the fact that Leonard fought in several catchweight fights for championships (including not even fighting in the LHW division but winning a belt) is brought up then you show your inconsistency (going so far as to say Ray's fights after Hagler don't count, then making a thread today about how great Leonard-Hearns II, a catchweight fight for a championship, was)... which people have been calling you out for.
Some people are just stuck in the whole 'everything from the past was great and everything modern sucks' mentality. Plenty of knowledgeable Boxing historians, trainers, etc place Manny in their top 10-15, some even top 5... but then certain people get emotional over that because they're stuck in that way of thinking.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, Pacquiao is an ATG whether you want to admit it or not.
