most likely Martinez would have more or less about 20 lbs advantage over Pac should they fight at 154.

that said, i would definitely want to see them fight at that weight. not very likely to happen, but so is Pac/Floyd and i'm still hoping to see that fight as well.

It's like saying why should Pacquiao fight a slow guy, or why some don't think speed would play a role in the matter.

Do fighters only face guys when they have every advantage? Chin, heart, power, speed, etc..?
Well Pac doesn't hold a title at 154. Only Dzinziruk, Cotto, K9, and Alvarez do.

No it's not like saying speed or whatever. Speed is a form of talent, size is not talent.

Anyways it's there not a huge size advantage for Martinez against?

      What am I missing here?

Hey, that dude is irrelevant to the sport right now.

No need to bring that dude up, in here Chups. Go somewhere else with that.

This is about Pac-Martinez, is not a "******* vs *****" thread, OK?

exactly.if manny didn't wanna get called out by 154 fighters he should have never fought for a 154 belt and especially since that belt belonged to the man who has been calling manny out yet manny is to small

So, are you saying Pac shouldn't fight Martinez?

Fine, and I understand all that. But, does Martinez not hold a huge size advantage that would play a role in the fight?

The question is very simple. Why is it so hard for you guys do answer that?

Only Mayweather and bigger guys, like Martinez, could realistically offer him a challenge, and he won't fight Mayweather, so...

Pac should fight the best out there.

What I'm saying is that if Pac never decides to fight at 154. Then I can't consider him ducking Martinez. Everybody has a limit. And, I think WW is Pac limit.

And, what I'm also saying is that size would play a role in that fight. People are saying "Martinez is not too big, he's just too good" but actually he's ALSO too big. He does have the skills and styles to beat Pac. But, his size would play a huge role.

One mofo has to eat a lot just to make 150 on fight night. While the other one would have to cutoff a leg to make 150(don't want to see this fight at 150, 154 or just don't do it) so this shows you the huge size difference in a potential match up.

good if it happens and props to both guys...moreso with pac if he takes it but i doubt he will. i'm a pacfan but i believe martinez is a challenge beyond pac's limitation as a fighter. it's funny because i used to think that pac has already maxed out at 130 lbs but now he's fighting at 147. 154 is too much though...i don't think he's that great to go that far in a legit way. that's another funny part because a lot of posters here want him to fight martinez at 154 but at the same time they don't think pac is that great of a fighter.

                      naw , man.

                      sweet pea did it.

sweet pea is only a little bit bigger than pac.

remember after he won the vasquez fight?

after that sweet pea took on terry norris and bernard hopkins.

sweet pea also didn't fight anyone in a lower division than him after he won a 154 belt.

sweet pea was also never involved in a catchweight title fight.

pacquiao just ain't on sweet pea's level.
