Atlas is a contrarian, he will take up views just to look at something differently than what the normal thought process is. From a talking head stand point I would rather have that then the same shit getting spewed by everyone else, because at least even if you disagree it makes you think why you disagree with his line of thought.

If you listen to him during fights metaphors aside he gets what he is talking about and understands why things are happening in there. Even if you dislike his form of conveying itp

I don't think he's a great trainer but he's a decent enough club level trainer.

His comments/analysis are pretty bad though, I don't really think he can look at a fight neutrally. He constantly get's fight picks horribly wrong, sometimes I just can't follow his train of thought.

Teddy's metaphors are on a par with Shakespear. The guy is a legend and he works very hard with his charity, Teddy is great for boxing.

I would venture to say most people on this particular forum who do not like him do not like him because he is the only person in the mainstream media not afraid to give an honest opinion on Pacquiao.

Listen to the guys on this panel try to persuade Teddy and make it sound so crazy to the average viewer that Pacquiao is not in the top 20. Media is a joke.

I dont get how hes on ESPN or even in Boxing.

He had like 9 amateur fights and lost MOST of them. He then leeched on to D'Amato and freaked out on Tyson and then got D'Amato threw him out, btw he was saved from JAIL because of D'Amato.

He has threatened NUMEROUS people with guns/knives including wanting to kill his former pupils who's careers he ruined. His only succesffull fighter was Moore but Teddy didnt even do anything with him, he got Moore as a present from that Boxing Gym(can someone fill me in on the name?).

If you read his book he writes that hes such a tough guy and beatup guys twice his size in prison, saved Shannon Brigs ass in a streetfight, etc.

This guy is a straight lunatic, how many times has he been suspended? Threatening the PROMOTERS, Threatening ESPN staff, Former Employers, Boxers.

He acts like he knows everything and when he had a fighter he would pretend the show was about Teddy and not the fighter (like sitting in the stool, wtf)

This is only the stuff we know about, no doubt this guy beats his wife, kids, etc. He is a very SICK person.

He is just a biased douchebag with a temper of an apple. He's the type of guy to install a GPS on his wives car just to stalk her all day then kill her and himself cuz she was talking to another dude (who would probably end up being her Cousin).

Hes Crazy and I hope I meet him one day so I can tell him what a psycho racist *** he is.
            Excellent post.

Cus D'Amato would often refer to him affectionately as the Young Master. He thought highly of Teddy.

It's just that he did what he did to Mike Tyson and Cus wasn't going to lose his next heavyweight champion so he gave him the boot.

He wasn't technically fired, cus actually tried to save the relationship and have him and tyson have a talk but teddy was too stubborn.

Cus actually liked teddy a lot. BTW his amateur record was 10-0 even with a back injury.

Only teddy could've gotten moorer the belt, every other trainer failed with him. Moorer was virtually untrainable and teddy got him a HW belt.

Only thing I don't like about teddy is he seems to not like white boxers, he stated he wouldn't train white middle class kids even for top $ at gleasons because it was a waste of time. Well MAB was middle class from a family of lawyers and he was a great boxer. Not white but still middle class.

Teddy Atlas knows more about boxing than anyone on this forum.
