Is Teddy Atlas overrated as an "expert" on boxing?

Atlas knows his ****. It's laughable that you people talk down about him for his behavior in the past. ****, this is the sport of boxing. So many fighters have checkered and less than favorable pasts but nobody seems to mention these things about them. As for his training, it takes two people to dominate the sport. That being a trainer and a fighter. You guys rip on him for training Lalonde, like Lalonde was some ***el to begin with. Shannon Briggs was better than Lalonde but not by any means at the top of his class. And while Mchael Moorer was a good heavyweight, he was nowhere near being great. And if you remember Moorer was doing damned good in his bout with Foreman before getting caught with a good shot, it could happen to anyone like that. Atlas is a good commentator, a good trainer and a man who knows his **** in the game unlike the posters who belittle him on this forum. Atlas is the best commentator we have today, he has seen so much in the game and experienced so much first hand in the game that he can put the situation in the ring into a deeper thought than any other commentator. Kellermans good too, but he learned from books, films and second hand knowledge past on to him. Atlas learned in the gyms and in the game. As for him pulling a gun on 15 year old Tyson, he did exactly what a street thug like Tyson would understand. Tyson having relations with his 11 year old relative is sickening. Atlas is a good boxing historian, and he knows the game inside and out. He is very knowledgeable whether you like his personality or not.

I would venture to say most people on this particular forum who do not like him do not like him because he is the only person in the mainstream media not afraid to give an honest opinion on Pacquiao.

Listen to the guys on this panel try to persuade Teddy and make it sound so crazy to the average viewer that Pacquiao is not in the top 20. Media is a joke.
