Nah, Byrd has some very good skills for a heavyweight but the face he's been given gifts and never wants to fight top-tier fighters makes me wonder if he really cares about a legacy at all or even boxing. DK ****s up everything...please die DK, please die..

chris byrd is the emodyment of what is wrong with boxing: inactive, unexciting, demands too much UNDESERVED money, all talk and no walk, light puncher, gives too many excuses, and is the recipient of too damn many gift bull**** decisions in his favor.

get rid of byrd, and boxing will be one great big step closer to healing.

Chris Byrd is a warrior how you could say he is a **itch I truly don't understand this. He fights men who are way bigger than him and he actually goes into the ring and fights! I doubt many here can claim to have stepped into the ring. Byrd is a good man, just because you don't like his style doesn't make him a **itch.

All fighters who step through the ropes have guts, and us fans make ourselves look unknowledgeable if we say otherwise.

And I'm surprised people could say things like this, in the wake of Levander Johnson's death.

Byrd doesnt want Wladimir and for some odd reason Wladimir wants Lamon/Luan over Byrd anyhow...Byrd wants Vitali...I think Saturdays doubleheader will lead to a showdown between Toney vs Byrd which is the most profitable fight that those 2 guys can put together....Byrds time is winding down and I dont even think he cares about the money anymore, he wants out...King ruined such a great fighter.

I think Byrd would push for the Toney fight for the sole reason that it is the one choice where we probably wont be knocked down or out

I get what youre saying, but youre talking about the old Chris Byrd. The new Chris Byrd sounds beaten down and frustrated when he talks, i dont see him hanging around much longer, or putting himself into a fight where he might get knocked out and embarrassed, i.e. either klitschko.

No doubt about it, but again as fans we should understand that the man is at the end of his career and becasue of contract disputes with his promoter Don King, he has been inactive. Somewhat understandably the man is just lookin for a big payday and then he wants out. I would,being a fan of his, tell him with is current atititude that he needs to get out soon, but disrespect is uncalled for, for any fighter.

Thanx man, and I don't know if you read some of my earlier posts but I'm startin to take a likin to Wlad. Hes a good man who is always pleasant and he showed something that I didn't know he posessed, a real fighting heart, as a fan you should be proud.
