Could the problem be that there are no more good heavyweights? yeah I think so.

To also add fuel to the fire is that a lot of Kings fighters fight each other and King has nobody...It is a damn shame the Toney situation had to happen as it did. Goosen and King work together and Toney vs Byrd would have been a sweet matchup....But that fight was almost as good as done, I dont see why Byrd and Ruiz dont go at it....But I later found out, Ruiz wants out of Don Kings stable which is great news...He will get out and lose and King will fall apart and believe that. Ruiz is a firm peg in the stable of King and dont think otherwise...King cant go away until Ruiz is rid of.

chris byrd is the emodyment of what is wrong with boxing: inactive, unexciting, demands too much UNDESERVED money, all talk and no walk, light puncher, gives too many excuses, and is the recipient of too damn many gift bull**** decisions in his favor.

get rid of byrd, and boxing will be one great big step closer to healing.

Inactive-Promoter wont give him fights NOT his fault
Undeserved Money-His promoter shouldnt have signed him to a GUARANTEED 3 million dollar per fight contract

All Talk-Dont think so, Byrd is one of the only heavyweights to step up to the plate.

Disputed Decisions-Explain this one in full detail. Boxing is a sport that is measured on your ability to box unless you knock your opponent out. Oquendo wrestled Byrd and in that fight who boxed more? Byrd plain and simple. Golota was ruled a draw, I had it going a round either way so a draw was suitable....Highly bull**** decisions, but since you like to think that way. Since King cant give him his contracted 3 million per fight he rewards him in other ways....King is notorious for this, hell he gave Hopkins a gift against Mercado and paid him with Bentleys for a few fights...Not in Byrds wrong doings...

What I dont get is that most of you should applaud Byrd for being a standout kind of guy and is trying to break away from King so he can get the bigger fights.

Lamon isnt trying to get away from King.

Just to give you an update in case you are unaware the 2 most unpopular champions

              Chris Byrd
              John Ruiz

Are battling against King to get released so they can move onto bigger and better things. Byrd wants Klitschko and Ruiz DOESNT want Mcbride...I applaud them for finally getting sick and tired of being given B.S. opponents and standing up against it.

A lot of people are unaware Byrd has a guarantee on his contract and Ruiz makes more than Byrd and another thing people are unaware of is that Byrd shoots off at King continously how he hates facing his mandatories and how it is a disappointment to him and his fans and people of the sport when the only 2 fights out their for Byrd are Vitali and Toney.

When contracts are involved it can be a long process, most people begin to speak up once their contract is about over plus you never bite the hand that feeds...I am sorry you cant give Byrd props for his efforts but the guy shouldnt totally be **** on...

Ive already gone on record as saying that after this fight chris byrd will get rid of himself. he will relinquish his belt rather than fight a klitschko. he says he wants them now, but the fact of the matter is that he is merely saying that knowing he can back out later for some made up reason.

hes said it himself he just wants to make some money and get out. i can see him taking one more safe fight after this and calling it a career, do you honestly think hes gonna put himself in the position of retiring as a loser on his back with a Klitschko standing over him????

Byrd doesnt want Wladimir and for some odd reason Wladimir wants Lamon/Luan over Byrd anyhow...Byrd wants Vitali...I think Saturdays doubleheader will lead to a showdown between Toney vs Byrd which is the most profitable fight that those 2 guys can put together....Byrds time is winding down and I dont even think he cares about the money anymore, he wants out...King ruined such a great fighter.
