If you mean LINEAL @ 154 its No.... but again Pac fought bigger men at max at 150 weighing at 144 @ weigh-in hes a midget 5'5ish, look Martinez is 5"10 fought started 147 then 160, James Toney is 5"10 ish he fought from middle-heavy. funny thing MArtinez he told from ESPN hes too small for SMW? http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=6216573

      * Marquez is really just a small lightweight, and even though he WILL jump two divisions to welter, he is a coward anyway

      * Manny, he will not fight anyone dangerous in his own division without a catchweight, and at JMW, he will not fight anyone at all..... and yet, he is a fearless champion and P4P king

      WTF?

You are a clown for suggesting that Martinez should jump two divisions to LHW, and then suggesting that Pac is "too small" to fight a genuine JMW.

And if " Martinez Is NO Ray Leonard Or Thomas Hearns! ".....
..... then why wont Pacquiao fight him at 154 ?

I will tell you why pacboy.....
..... coz Manny sure as hell aint no Leonard or Hearns either
I want props for these two posts, because those short posts sum up the situation perfectly imho.

Where are the historians and genuine boxing experts now ?

I'm from NZ, so Fitz is one of my very favorite all time fighters.

Martinez cant fight Pac and Floyd at JMW? A weight class they BOTH won FREAKIN titles in?

          What a joke dude.

He bags on Martinez calling out Floyd and Pac but then turns around and says he should fight Hopkins who is also 2 weight classes above Martinez.

          What a tool.

This article looked like a boxingscne post moreso than a legit article.

i agree totally. and i don't buy what this writer is selling. martinez fought and defeated, at the time , one of the most avoided fighters in boxing, paul williams. but that being said, i would love to see sergio fight hopkins!

            " funny thing " ?

Martinez is clearly not a SMW, no discussion required there.

He is a large JMW who can still make 154.

You can put an excuse to every opponents that Pac has fought in the past but the majority of the "Boxing Experts and the Public" knows that Pac is the "Best Fighter" of his generation. The only way for Martinez to supplant him as the P4P #1 Boxer is if he fight bigger guys like Hopkins, Ward, Bute and win convincingly?!

Iveseenitall, how the *** would Manny have survived under the original divisional system, with same-day weigh-in, and with only one title available?

                bio: career divisional titles = 2 ?

*** man even guys like Carpentier rate higher than Pac when you think about manipulated advantages and the condition of his opponents. He fought from welter to heavy under the old divisional system consistantly fighting and beating larger opponents.

Pac is the " ****e Girls " of modern boxing.

He is a terrific fighter don't get me wrong, but I aint drinking the kool-aid.

so that would make pacquiao too small for mayweather also right?! u might be right because after floyd beats the sh-t outta pacquiao, critics will say pac was too small too! i would love to see sergio vs either of the three: hopkins, mayweather or pacquiao.

Yes hes not SMW right now, but hes bullying like a Floyd or Pac, Floyd fight ounce at 154 who weighs at 149 did he defended again at 154? Pac fight at maximum 150 who wieghs at 144ish? Is that a 154 lineal? on Paper hes LM catchweight... again, if Martinez can fight @ 168 hes potential, hes not a small at SMW like i said like James Toney did.... LM-Middle as today are weak he need to moved on fight some pool talented or moneywise SMW.
