* Martinez is really just a large JMW, and even though he already went up and cleaned out the top two middleweights, Sergio is a coward because he will not jump another TWO DIVISIONS to fight Hopkins

* Marquez is really just a small lightweight, and even though he WILL jump two divisions to welter, he is a coward anyway

* Manny, he will not fight anyone dangerous in his own division without a catchweight, and at JMW, he will not fight anyone at all..... and yet, he is a fearless champion and P4P king

WOW! I've NEVER seen so many excuses for why a man SHOULD NOT fight another man. Martinez vs. Pac is MORE than fair. Check out the records of Bob Fitzsimmons and Harry Greb. They fought guys consistently that were bigger and WON. Pac should have NO problem facing Martinez. And he can win the fight.

Where are the historians and genuine boxing experts now ?

I'm from NZ, so Fitz is one of my very favorite all time fighters.

i agree totally. and i don't buy what this writer is selling. martinez fought and defeated, at the time , one of the most avoided fighters in boxing, paul williams. but that being said, i would love to see sergio fight hopkins!

Like a few of the Pac-haters that exist in this forum with multiple user names... You're an Id!ot! Marquez is the one who called out Pac and said that he will fight him at any weight?!

You can put an excuse to every opponents that Pac has fought in the past but the majority of the "Boxing Experts and the Public" knows that Pac is the "Best Fighter" of his generation. The only way for Martinez to supplant him as the P4P #1 Boxer is if he fight bigger guys like Hopkins, Ward, Bute and win convincingly?!

*** man even guys like Carpentier rate higher than Pac when you think about manipulated advantages and the condition of his opponents. He fought from welter to heavy under the old divisional system consistantly fighting and beating larger opponents.

Pac is the " ****e Girls " of modern boxing.

sergio needs to step up on competition instead of picking on WW. Floyd already did that when he bullied a LW JMM while Pac keeps fighting higher weight opponents. Pac is actually now jus evening up the competition for fighting JMM since theyre the same size.

so that would make pacquiao too small for mayweather also right?! u might be right because after floyd beats the sh-t outta pacquiao, critics will say pac was too small too! i would love to see sergio vs either of the three: hopkins, mayweather or pacquiao.

Yes hes not SMW right now, but hes bullying like a Floyd or Pac, Floyd fight ounce at 154 who weighs at 149 did he defended again at 154? Pac fight at maximum 150 who wieghs at 144ish? Is that a 154 lineal? on Paper hes LM catchweight... again, if Martinez can fight @ 168 hes potential, hes not a small at SMW like i said like James Toney did.... LM-Middle as today are weak he need to moved on fight some pool talented or moneywise SMW.
