He fought Judah after he LOST to Baldy, to me, it was like, now I know how limited he is, that if Baldy can beat him, I will definitely beat him, particularly as his confidence will also be low, I feel more comfortable taking the fight now, as its opportunistic moment. You might think that's insignificant, but remember, this is a guy who fought a smaller man(JMM), yet still decided to cheat him at the scales to gain an even bigger advantage.

Cotto had just beaten Judah if I recall, and Mayweather decided to cherry pick Hatton from the 140lbs division, he was clearly a logical opponent. Floyd could of fought those guys after that, were not specifically talking about only during that period.

Hatton still lost out of his his optimum weight class, he was still a smaller man. I never wanted to see him fight Mosley, check my post history, I said from day one it would be a white wash, that Shane has been done since the Cotto fight, that the Margo win was a smoke screen, there is not revisionist history on my part, Shane was an old man with stamina issues who couldn't longer pull the trigger as far as im concerned, infact I can remember arguing with someone, before he fought Floyd, about whether he really was the top WW in the world.

I stick to the facts, and reality, based on his history, I just cant see him fighting these guys, and if you can, then its you who are being disingenuous, not me, cause his recent history, belies that.

The way you just tried to justify all those opponent against factual evidence says its not so much I'm a hater, that your just a fanboy who cant deal with the facts.
The Judah fight was already signed rpior to Zab and Baldo fighting.. Floyd only fought Baldo because he upset Zab. The JMM fight was well after this. You can't use a that fight as a justification of your feelings toward the Zab Floyd fight.Besides, floyd didn't cheat him. He paid the weight penalty as stipulated in the contract.

No Hatton was the lineal 140 lb champ who moved up to fight the 147 lb lineal champ who was under the same promotional banner. Thats not cherry picking or ducking.

Whatever your opinion of Shane, he was the best 147lb fighter other than floyd. Since he hadn't fought since whipping Marg, it is impossible for you to say he was shot and couldn't punch. That was determined after the floyd fight.

Yeah, he was. I certainly don't view it as a great win. But...I was only responding to that part where you mentioned Judah being smaller which was just laughable.

You can believe what you want, I dont profess to be a fan, infact I dont like Mayweather, that's no secret, but that's irrelevant in this thread, my point was, why should I think he would fight these young hungry fighters who are in their physical prime, when there is factual evidence, that he picks opportunistic moments to fight people, retires as and when he feels like it, and fights smaller, or older guys?

Try reading the whole thread next time, before you butt in half way through

Not just my assertion, Boxing scribes have said it to.

This sounds like something I write these days about Manny.

How can you complain about all of those guys that Floyd fought at Welter, then you say that you wouldn't give him credit for beating Manny Pacquaio? Makes no sense.
