And why he is asking welterweights 5-foot-6 frame to fight him on 154 lbs and outweigh his opponent by 20+ lbs on fight night?? hypocrisy at his best lol
      end of thread!!! ^^^^^^^^^

and I will ask this again, why Martinez asking smaller guys to move up to fight him while he refused to move up to fight bigger guys?

Martinez is a fighter's fighter. A throwback pugilist who doesn't weigh his options for future rumbles against opposition that presents the lowest risk to his victory category yet garnishes the most money pocketed. He isn't interested in padding records and claiming belt trinkets either. Instead, he is only interested in being great and seeking the toughest fights possible, win or lose. • i dont see what the big deal is.
              1. there is no one at 147 besides Berto, Ortiz and Mayweather for Pac.
              2. Any decent fighter below 147 would have to gain weight to meet Pac, he will not go under 145.
              3. Pac fought Margo for a belt at JMW, a title that became his #8 weight division
              4. Segio can make JMW
              5. Mayweather needs to return to the ring and settle this once and for all
              6. team pac needs to stop making excuses anout random testing
              7. Martinez vs Floyd is almost, if not, more interesting than Floyd vs Pac

ask martinez that at 168.....ward, bute, froch, hmm...hopkins??

                • True, Martinez may KO Pac but it's all about styles. Mayweather is harder to KO because his style is tuned to be defensive. Manny is all about offense. The guy loves fighting so there's always a chance he may be knocked out.

IMO Martinez is too big to Floyd and Manny nowadays. On Friday Night Fights a couple of weeks ago he mentioned that while he would love to fight Manny at 154, it may be difficult for him to go down in weight being that he's weighed at 160 for the past two years.

Then that logic is idiotic! Yes, pac is P4P king but how could he fight him for P4P when he is in WW???! Does it mean if the P4P is in FW, he should also enticed him to go up to challenge him in MW or JMW???! That's absurd!!!

Sergio is more than PBF... he's becoming girlish day by day since he Koed Pwills! the only notable wins on his resume aside from Pavlik and nothing more! A JMW Dzinzuruk isn't the man to beat when he beat him in MW! Now he's looking for a prey in 2 divisions lower??? to entice him for a full JMW fight, or to MW??? tsk.. tsk..tsk.. this isn't good for Martinez reputation!

If he want to become a P4P king, then he should challenge those top dogs in SMW in the likes of Andre Ward, Carl Froch, Lucian Bute or Robert Stieglitz! And then challenge LHW BHop or Jean Pascal for a SMW duel! In that way, if he could beat them convincingly, I believe he could surpass Pac and he would be named the new P4P king! he doesn't need to fight Pac or PBF to capture the P4P throne! Now that he had beatin' Pavlik and PWills he should be man enough to challenge those people above him of his weight class, not below him!

It is not secet to us that Pac, though he had beatin' margarito for the WBC JMW title, the glaring fact, he was fighting in the WW class not in the JMW class during his outing with margarito! Pac felt the effect of weight discrepancy and becuse his health was givin' a priority concern, he did not return anymore to JMW, leaving his title abandoned until was stripped from him of not defending it! Pac actually is a little WW because he could not even make a full 147 pounds limit of WW, but just in 144 or 145 lbs in scale, and he could not even rehydrate to JMW level during the fight night! Now martinez wanted to face Pac who is actually a JWW for a JMW duel while her weight will be more or less in confortable 170lbs during fight night!

                    • Martinez, Go Fight Bernard Hopkins Or Vitali Klitschko!

Martinez, like so many others is spouting off sour g****s in order to get a Pacquiao-size payday! Give me a break, he'd love to lure a Pacquiao up to fight him. Fight night Martinez would weigh 170-175lbs, 30lbs more than Pacquiao! How would that be fair or competitive? Since Pacquiao is the payday, then have Martinez dry out and come down to 145lbs. That's not going to happen either. And Mayweather won't fight anyone. So shut up Martinez. You want a fight, a big payday? Then YOU step up and go fight Bernard Hopkins! Better yet, go fight Vitali Klitschko!
