I think Floyd will make easy work of Pacquiao, but the facts are facts. He aint doing nothing to get this fight other than run his mouth to the press badmouthing Pacquiao, are any of you guys seriously saying if someone slags you off, accuses you of cheating and DEMANDS extra tests then you are gonna bend over backwards for this guy?! Floyd does not have the right to insult Manny, discredit his accomplishments, and then expect him to take non standard test that Floyd is implementing for the fight. Floyd aint even been to a commission about this?! If he wanted the fight, and wanted to clean up boxing, he should go to a commission! He gets them on his side and you seriously think the press and the public will still be on Mannys side if he refuses? He could put Manny on the spot no problem. But he doesnt, why is that do you think?!
You sir, are missing the point. But I appreciate you running with the Top Rank talking points. Your premise is all the way flawed. Yes Pac is fundamentally nowhere near Floyd in boxing skill. But the key word in that sentence is BOXING. Anything can happen. Unless you think Rahman was really better than Lewis skill wise...then I digress. So even if it is out of fear or whatever reasons Floyd come up with, PED testing in a combat sport, isn't really that far fetched of a request in 2011. I can't imagine if the roles were reversed and the only hang up was, for instance, Pac not signing the fight because Floyd wasn't willing, as you say, "bend over backwards" and adhere to the $10 million weight penalty. Both fighters made initial demands for the fight to happen. One just happens to be a petty demand and another is a legit demand. As I always say, if there are 120 lb men riding mountain bikes through France getting popped for EPO usage, then I definately don't see anything wrong with testing for it in one of the lone combat sports remaining.

And miss me with the sensitive guy act. Floyd has no right to "insult and discredit" Pac? Is that it? Get out of here. Tell the PROMOTER Bob Arum to start acting like a promoter and stop shifting blame. It was HIM who shopped Margarito around to different commissions for months hoping to get a license for him to fight Pac. It was HIM doing multiple negotiations with Marquez even though he was under another promotional umbrella and already had a fight set against Diaz on his docket to get the fight with Pac. But now it's up to the fighter, Floyd, to call YOU? All because Floyd insulted Pac? You can lawyer up and spend taxpayers money in the judicial system, but it's too much to ask of the PROMOTER to call the fighter and get this fight made? Arum knows what he's doing. And I'm not even knocking it cause I see it. But I'm shocked by how many of you guys eat up these "smoke and mirrors" talking points and run with it.

That's a little hard to believe. Maybe as much as the mayweather fight, but not more then it. I know jmm has been yapping for a while, and freddie does have a temper, but MORE then the mayweather fight, I doubt it. There is one man that can be called a true rival, one man who's career will be linked with pacs even if they never fight, and that one man isn't jmm. There is one fight bigger then them all, the jmm fight while ok isn't even better then pac ortiz. It sure as **** aint pacquiao mayeather. Shutting jmm up once and for all might be fun, that doesn't make it half the mega fight pac floyd would be.

          Marquez is the easier fight.

Yep, they went crazy over Pacquiao's knock down over Mosley, saying Pacquiao outperformed Mayweather.

Ricky Hatton outperformed Mayweather vs Castillo, by knocking him out in the 4th round. The Hatton fanboys went crazy over that but we saw how much that knock out mattered once Mayweather crushed Hatton in their fight.

Manny is mad for all the pretending that Juan is doing...when a person is mad, he hits harder. Manny Pacquiao sent Juan sprawling on the canvas four times in their past two outings and Manny Pacquiao was just an ordinary one handed lefty then, at present Manny Pacquiao is a well seasoned fighter and still getting better. So, for Juan...good luck and do not forget to shop around for a good retirement home to take good care of you after the fight with the great Pacman.
anybody who gets put in with fighters who are on the decline like oscar or guys who just stand if front of you like clottey and margarito and have no boxing ability will look awesome

Stopped taking your post seriously after reading this. Smh. Manny's horrible team. I don't know why he lets his friends destroy his career. They do one thing, and Manny says another. He even denied what was written on his own website when a staff member claimed to speak for him. Lots of $$$ and good business relationships lost.

Oh come on man, Mannys demands?! Manny wanted the fight to be held at 147lb. Are you trying to say 147 isnt Floyd’s ideal weight at this point?! He is not a junior middleweight. Bob over did it by insisting on a huge penalty for being over weight, but can you really blame them after what Floyd did to Marquez. He got fined what like 250k per lb in that fight, which he paid no attention to whatsoever. So they upped it. Foyd again showed his intelligence and used this against them in the media. Floyd could fight tomorrow and make 147, so dont try to make a big deal of that.
Sensitive guy act?! Whatever you say man, all I'm saying is that in any other sport Floyd would be laughed at. Any other contact sport as well. What about in rugyby or american football, some player refuses to play without his own choice of specific testing because one of the other players runs to fast, or is too strong?! And dont say these sports arent as violent, the bottomline is no other player/fighter has to do test that his direct competitor tells him to. Or look at it another way, in your place of work someone calls you out for getting promoted after working your ass off and putting in the hours, he accuses you of taking coke or speed or some ****, whatever, he’s not the boss and this is not standard practice but he gives you a pot too piss in to prove yourself. You saying you'd do it? Or would you tell him to go **** himself?
And this isnt even mentioning the fact that Floyd is clearly shook, otherwise he wouldnt be asking for the tests. If I was Manny I wouldnt give up that advantage. Floyd clearly thinks hes too good to be clean so, even if you know you are, why would you give up that pyschological advantage? By Manny agreeing to any kind of blood testing he is showing a big compromise. It’s not part of the standard rules. Why give up the mental edge?
You still never explained why Floyd hasnt been to a commission or the NSAC?? That'd be the way to clean up the sport, not twitter.

                    • Oh course he likes it more. He knows Manny's got a way better chance of beating Marquez than he does Mayweather. Marquez is gonna move up in weight, be slower, his counter-punching won't be as fast. It bull**** because Manny can damn well make 140. He rarely makes 147, he usually comes in lower. **** make it a fair fight. I'll be voting for Marquez heavly, 100%, but I hate to say, he really doesn't have as much of chance as he did three years ago.
He's still great, I know he'll beat anyone at 135. At welterweight though, Highly unlikely that he'll even win a fight at the weight.
