    Post from Ben T.

    CLOSED RESPONSE FROM BEN THOMPSON...

"I'll reply with a very shortened version of the email I just sent to you.

    Here's the same simple question....

IF Manny Pacquiao has indeed agreed to FULL RANDOM BLOOD/URINE TESTING leading ALL THE WAY UP UNTIL THE BOUT WITH NO CUTOFF DATE, then why hasn’t his promoter, Bob Arum, presented a contract to Mayweather’s advisor, Al Haymon, which states exactly that?

Now, not for nothing, but it's not my job to make this fight happen...nor is it my job to pass on information from Team Pacquiao to Team Mayweather. WHEN Bob Arum is ready to make the fight, I'm quite sure he'll work just as diligently with Team Mayweather as he did with Team Marquez to make the necessary changes they need to make to the contract in order to get the fight done.

And not for nothing, like I already said in the email, I've personally been contacted by members of Team Pacquiao I know who are STILL talking about a cutoff date. Apparently, they must have missed Pacquiao's pre-Margarito fight video and Arum's "tests aren't an issue" videos as well. Unlike Teddy Atlas, I actually keep all of my emails. Just ask Brad Cooney. LOL. I'm just sayin."

He could've got Marquez out of there if he wanted to? God, you Mayweather fans just live in some imaginary world where when you think something could or would happen makes it so.

Pac fans were already starting to support a Cintron and Judah fight. Pac may have 10 more cherry picked fighters before he fights Mayweather.

Why fight him, aslong as his fans are still supporting it.
I feel you. And I'm not even mad at Arum either. This is business and it's been going on way before any of us where born. Pac has become a spectacle. If putting Pac against a tomato can brings in record attendance and 1 million guarantee buys, why stop doing it? I'm not gonna knock their hustle at all. Just like Tyson. Tyson came out the joint and fought Peter McNeely and the public ate it up.

The only way we get a Floyd vs Pac fight is when Pac start looking vulnerable and loses his "Superman" aura or one of these con jobs flop at the box office. I just wish Pac fans graduate from the 3rd grade humor and name calling, and assess this situation for what it really is.

Why do they need to milk anything before Mayweather? If him and Floyd fight and Pac loses, then they'll just rematch for another 50+ million and Pac could still fight Mosley after a Mayweather Trilogy. I will always pay to watch Pacquiao perform. Even if he lost to Mayweather 15 times in a row I would still pay for a Pacquiao/Marquez rubber match. Pacquiao will be considered the most exciting fighter in boxing win or lose, his name is massive already, "milking" anything doesnt make any sense.

to the poster who said "can't blame Roach"....if you don't blame Roach or Arum...who do you suppose to blame?!?
Blame Marquez for the only one wanting the fight in the first place...all his belly aching has actually gone to his head. If Marquez thinks that he won both previous fights against Pacquiao...then why is he belly-aching for a third fight?

De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley...really.

Are these fights really that horrible, seriously?

I could bring up a thread from '07-'08 and most, if not all have [blank] by KO versus Pacquaio.

Dude, set the bar up so high for himself, these fights are now a joke.

Marquez is a easy fight for Pacquiao now though, so of course Roach wants it, it's easy money and a easy win.
How about Sugar Ray Leonard waiting 8years before allowing a rematch with the Hitman (Thomas Hearns 1981-89)...that's longer than 5 years.
