i think that you are basically right. money dictates most people's motivation. but i do think that once a boxer gets to a certain point, and sees how cool it is to get so much respect and props, that they feel obligated to their fans, and even to themselves to ensure they leave a lasting legacy

I've been saying this all along. If Cubans had the welfare and the rights Puerto Ricans had, it would be Mex & PR vs Cuba. You would see a lot more domination from Cuban boxing. My 2c.
