My boy Ortiz would probably lose, but it would still be a great fight and good experience for him (not like Mayweather is gonna brutalize him and KO him). Who knows, he might just pull off the huge upset, he's a live dog in this. One thing I'm sure of, Ortiz would bring the fight to Mayweather every round.

Floyd always fights the top guys contrary to popular belief. This fight is better than all of Manny's last fights since the second Marquez fight, except for maybe the Cotto fight.

Fair enough. I just don't see Ortiz as a legitimate opponet for somebody of Mayweather's caliber, I see the fight as a farce, if indeed it were to happen.

And I agree that it's hard to predict where Ortiz will go from here, or what path his career will take in the future, but I just have a hard time believing in a guy who he himself said that getting hit, and I'm quoting here ; "isn't what I got into boxing for".

I find that statement to be extremely telling.

i remember that night and i remember thinking ortiz might have just misspoke on what he was trying to say. i have never really been on the ortiz insult bandwagon mostly because i felt he was young and still has some time.

i think hes one of those people who has a tough time articulating what he wants to say and considering his background it isnt all that shocking.

Slow up on the elite level stuff Ortiz is a pretty good fighter not elite he beat Berto not Bradley or khan. He should fight mike jones someone with good speed and defense not just one punch which is the right hand then he should fight Floyd.
