Thing is this even tho Floyd was bigger than Marquez the fights not the same as it is with Manny the reason I say that is Floyds a technician he didn't even press marquez he just boxed him and moved like the matrix to avoid all his punches and make him look dumb. Manny size will matter seeing as he is a pressure fighter who will no doubt go for a KO.
Yeah,I get it from U guys.I really do.It's only different when Pacman wants to fight Marquez at welterweight. When Floyd did it it was bad.A welterweight fight is a welterweight fight bro.Pacman needs his advantages, his fans don't care & will support whatever he does,so his team & anyone else associated with him are gonna look for those advantages as best they can.If it wasn't a big deal, the fight wouldn't have been in the welterweight division.Since he isn't a welterweight like U claim, then there really shouldn't be a problem having the fight at jr welter or lightweight, now should it??But because Roach & anyone who isn't blind or dumb knows that Marquez is not an effective welterweight, they want the fight there.
No, I actually don't think you do. I'll try and break this down.
Floyd on fight night against JMM: Unknown; going by the eyeball test he looked "huge" compared to JMM. And since JMM was around 145 on fight fight night it was safe to assume PBF was close to 160 on fight night. Throw in the fact that JMM said in the post fight that he felt PBF had 20 pounds on him.
Pacquiao on fight night for JMM III: He'll more or less weigh in at 147 to 148 on fight night. Seeing as how he weighed 148 against Margaritto when he fought at 150.
So you see there is a distinct and clear difference between the two situations. On one JMM was at a disadvantage of 12-15 on fight night while he'll be at a 2-3 pound disadvantage against the other.
This isn't your normal welterweight fight because the two that are fighting aren't welterweights. And yeah you're right he probably could have fought him south of 144. I think he could have fought him at 135. In fact I'd rather him do that to take JMMs lineal title from him and add another feather in his cap. But it isn't happening.
I think JMM can be effective fighting at 144 if 1) doesn't blow himself up (which he doesn't need to) and 2) Isn't fighting someone whose a natural WW who'll have a distinct size advantage against him. To insinuate that he'll be as ineffective at 140+ against Pacquiao as he was against PBF is a bit foolish considering the circumstances are completely different.

Sounds great bro,why is the fight at welterweight again??

Don't know, you'll have to take that up with Team Pacquiao.
One reason I would think is because Pacquiao has been campaigning at 147. But like I said, I'd much rather have this fight at 135 for JMM's lineal crown. That feat alone will catapult him even higher on the pantheon of ATGs.

I know,I think we all do.It's just that some of us make excuses & try to justify team Pacman's demands. While the rest of us have become tired of it & call it exactly what it is.Very good matchmaking/cherrypicking.

But I thought people we're crying for this match-up? I mean those same people couldn't have honestly thought that this fight was going to happen at 140 or below when they were crying for a JMM fight instead of SSM.
