"At 175 Roy pretty much cleaned out the division." NO WAY... Roy does not get credit for cleaning out the division when he never fought Dariusz Michalczewski.

Continued instances of Roy Jones KO by ________________ just proves (like Leonard, Ali and other before him) that this can happen to any fighter no matter how great they were, and that it probably will. I can easily see Mayweather and/or Pac fighting too long and getting embarrassed/beaten up like this. I've seen it too many times in my 30 years of following boxing to think that ANY fighter is beyond letting this happen.

Rjj ****ed up his legacy, he shouldve quit when he beat ruiz.. however there still wouldve been doubts about him taking the path of least resistance. Honestly rjj is a dumbass for wanting to prove himself after he was past his prime. He shouldve fought all the tough figts and gone over seas when he was still prime and untouchable.

Roy was my guy but he needs to quit now, more then any other GREAT fighter ever!!!
Roy can look back at his career and say that he had one hell of a career. The good will always out weigh the bad. Its easy to tell someone to stop doing something they love so much, and that they did as a kid to an adult. All roy knows is boxing, and nothing else. Every year we all get older, but our minds stays the same. His mind tells him "jjust one more" but his body tells him a different story...
If that man choses to fight to the death...its sad, but hey, when he was on top no one complained, now that he is declining...let him make his on choice.

The day that he claimed that he lost a fight in order to not give his father credit, I knew it was over. This is a man in denial, and I think it's his people telling him he could still compete. Worry about your sons Roy, your last name will live on through them. But the way you're going you are going to end up dead or in a vegetative state.

Remember when he had a fight and a semi-pro basketball game in the same day and people thought that was a big deal, that he was 2-sport star or something like that? What he should do now to top that (and could have conceivably done last weekend) is fight a fight and announce a fight in the same day, that would be impressive, especially the way he gets his ass beat these days.Last edited by fitefanSHO; 05-24-2011, 10:52 AM.
