in your opinion who is the greater fighter overall. We know how both were in their primes, and have seen what they have done post prime as well. Who rates higher for you in a total comparison of their ENTIRE careers? Poll coming, vote, discuss, and give me reasons for your pick.

Entire careers, then it's clearly hopkins, without question.

However Jones' star burned more brightly in his prime. What is that old quote, "The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long" something like that. I think that applies to Jones.

Roy Jones is greater than Bernard Hopkins.

Clearly goes to Roy? How does it clearly go to Roy?

Who has been the more consistent one throughout their careers? Bernard Hopkins either dominated fights, had split close split losses, and never got knocked out. Whether in his 20's while he was still learning on the job, in his 30's while in his prime, or his 40's.

He is the greater fighter. Saying that Roy is greater because of what Roy did in his prime is like saying Mike Tyson is a greater Heavyweight than (Insert any great heavyweights name here).

Roy was the greater Athlete though, that one is for certain.

                    Hopkins > Jones

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, at least in my mind.
