It was a split second judgment call and Smoger just made the wrong call.

Smoger is a great ref, who let this one go a bit too far. But I prefer a later stoppage to an early stoppage that does not give a fighter a chance to make an account for himself.

Smoger is the best Ref in History!

Smoger is the reason why boxing fans feel they are getting their money's worth! If Double S stops the fight with very little time left fans would be saying let the legend go out on his shield! Smoger is the master of judging if a fighter is finished. Example Taylor Vs Pavlick. If he stops the fight while Pavlick is hurt early....we would have all missed the Youngstown warriors history making comeback. What a fight that was! Roy will be back again like it or not. Roy was one of the most exciting fighters in boxing history and people will continue to support him!

I mean i saw the last round u could see jones was getting hit hard the whole last round but he was acting good though pretending not to b hurt but when lebedev cracked him with that left then followed by that big overhand right and for some reason jones was out but was still on hes feet and at that moment smoger stepped in and lebedev thought he was gona stop the fight but he DIDNT!!! he just stepped in to get a closer look at jones cuz jones had hes head down and hes gloves up and thats when lebedev put hes hands up to say' r u gona stop the fight' but smoger didnt and thats when lebedev hit jones with a right hook and thats when jones jr fell face first to the canvas....stop blaming smoger and lebedev jones should not fight no more he knows he cant compete no more and still trying to pretend like he can hes only gona get embarrassed over and over again and ruin hes image and later part of career and health

Smoger is an excellent ref and this should not be held against him in the least. Jones got what he deserved by fighting against the advice and reason of anyone sensible in the sport. Hopefully now that he was brutally knocked out he won't be able to get clearance to fight if he's dumb enough to attempt to again

Jones has no business in with a guy like Lebedev, so the fault lies with him for doing this in the first place.

only problem i can see people having is that smoger let him drop to the floor. smoger's a great ref, jones just doesn't belong inside a ring anymore....

Nobody should blame Smoger....Roy shouldn't be in the ring, he's ruining the reputation of the sport by continuing to make a mockery of thse sport...
