It can only be a split decision when more than 1 person / judge scores the fight i.e. 2 judges say fighter A won and 1 Judge says fighter B won.

You can either give fighter A the nod, fighter B the nod, or call a draw, however you alone cannot give a "split decision" - unless you have multiple personality disorder???
I had Groves winning a technical decision after 6.

              No, it should not.

Expending energy and offering your opponent opportunities should not be rewarded. You should have a point deducted for ineffective aggression

Except for the last four rounds, I thought is was a pretty boring affair. I thought Degale won 115-113 but didn't think either showed much and a lot rounds were close, so it could have gone either way. I hope the rematch is more interesting

james degale got robbed.. you lot are idiots if u think groves won.. degale put the pressure on and landed the punches that counted.. quality from degale was so far superior and groves looked dead on his legs.. should be a rematch...

I was there and i left before the decision as i had presumed Degale would get the decision. Was kind of shocked on the way home when someone told me Groves got the nod. It was a close fight but i thought Degale had done enough.

I thought Groves won by a round or two. DeGale was on the frontfoot throughout but wasn't throwing or landing enough punches. Groves countered very well and landed almost twice as many jabs. A lot of the rounds were close and it looked like a draw might be on the cards at one point but DeGale just didn't do enough to win it IMO.

Frank Warren made me laugh being interviewed about 10 minutes after the fight saying he hadn't found a single person that thought Groves won.....well you're not gonna find anyone if you're standing in the ring with DeGale and his team! Listen to the crowd! There was nobody cheering DeGale.....they knew Groves was the winner!

I'd like to see a rematch and James DeFail shut up again once and for all!

                      Well done Saint George!
