I think that will be his main problem. And Lebedev does have boxing skills along with power. He's not just a plodder like Jeff Lacy was. This is a bad fight for Jones. If he loses that speaks for itself. If he wins he keeps fighting. As a fan it would be nice to see him retire for good. Shane Mosley seems to have finally accepted that it's time. I hope Jones does as well very soon.

Yeah he looks old, and I believe that his and his team mentality for this fight was to get Roy completely hydrated and at his max weight without having to cut and loose energy.

As the 42 year old man he is, he's not able to gain more muscle mass and then cut the fat and dehydrate for the fight. He must pack all the muscle mass he can, while being completely hydrated and having his energy reserves at 100%

So l actually believe he did the right thing. Yeah he may look awful, but he'll have the energy tank at 100%.

Also remember that because of his age, he will not have the same glycogen reserves that he had some years ago, so there's a chance that he'll actually run out of it. He sould be eating a lot of carbs right now...

            Very good point.

            WAR ROY!

                  His speed is gone.
                  His reflexes are gone.
What separated him from the rest is gone.

He needs to adjust and maybe adding extra weight for power behind punches, for ability to apsorb punches might just do it.

Jones is old fighter, he needs to adjust to that. He can't come to fight like he did 5-6-7 years ago.

This might be solution, heavier but healthier Roy.

I like Roy Jones for his past greatness, but I'm actually rooting for Lebedev. He ain't pretty, but he is a true fighter and was robbed badly against that moron Marco Huck.

                    edit.

                    Found the weigh in

                    starting with lebedev, then roy.

Jones Jr is only 2 years older than Vitali.

I hope he wins and then challenges Klitschko.
