He made it a real tough fight for Cotton and anyone who says it was an easy win from a gimmie opponent didn't watch the fight
So if Canelo, Angulo, or chavez fight Mayorga and beat him, you will give them props??? STFU !!

Manny looked like **** against Mosley does that mean he sucks too? Also, Cotto isn't some HUGE monster IDK what people expect of him he is like an inch taller than Manny and weighs 155ish on fight night. Mayorga was coming in at 170 and oh, Cotto still knocked him the **** out. BTW I apologize you aren't fickle, just an idiot.

All these cholos hate on Cotto for no reason, but instead they choose to defend a cheater... that says alot of who they are.

Cotto vs jr is a very high risk/low reward fight for cotto, however, its the best reward he can get given the circumstances. Jr, is a flat out draw in mexico and he is going to draw more money than anyone else, except for canelo (which can't be made.) cotto is probably going to get a 70/30 split, and you can grab a slew of casual fans just by the name jcc jr. Casual fans will simply think, its jcc son? Oh well, he has to be good" and they'll get buys off of that.

The fact of the matter is how many ppv buys does cintron, martinez and angulo have? The answer is none. How about compare gate numbers with chavez? This would be a landslide in chavez favor too. Deal with it guys, boxing is about how much money you can bring in and whoever can bring in more money, especially when one guy is a household name, if you aren't bringing in 7 figures you aren't getting the fight its that simple and the truth is cintron, martinez and angulo aren't bringing in 7 figures.
your post ois the reason boxing is becoming a circus act. All you mention is money, ppv´s, etc. That´s why the greedy rival promoters stole the sport of boxing and we can´t see the best fifghting each other or a guy with a 0 fighting bums to protect his record. The best and exciting fighters should fight, period. Angulo would beat cotto if cotto does not hug and run like a girl.

If Cotto goes the fight to scout Chavez and Chavez Jr. losses, is it a waste of time?

                    I don't like this fight

I'm a Cotto fan, but he has nothing to prove against Chavez, unless he fights him @160. A catchweight won't make his legacy any better, and I wouldn't credit him with being the only PRican with 4 belts in diff weights. If you really want to do that, beat him on his own weight class. You have the skill and now a good corner, the belt is there for the taking.

I think though that his frame is just too small for 160, everybody there is 6', and look what happened to guys like Tito when he got greedy and tried to face Winky, BHop and Roy Jones. And Tito was not 5'7" like Cotto is. Miguel, just make your stance @154, beat Sergio there, and make everybody come and try to win it from you! Why not try to be a super champion and get all 3 belts? That would be a wise gameplan...
