Pacq dominates this fight. Possible KO yep, But career ending for Marq nah.. hes a true genuine champ. I can see Pacq letting his ole rival off the hook and not punishing him too much. Pacq respects Marq more than Marq respects Pacq.Comment

I don't agree with him, though. JMM is at least better than Clottey and Margarito, that much you HAVE to agree with.Comment

147 vs. 135 is not very close, especially as JMM is a natural Super Featherweight who has already shown that he can't fight effectively above 135, and who only wins at 135 because he is far more highly skilled than his opponents. Even at Lightweight all his opponents have looked bigger and stronger than him, and he has lost a lot of the speed he had at 130. When he tried fighting at 144 he was much slower than he'd ever been before.
When they fought before there was no weight disparity between them at all, so that's completely irrelevant. Pac has been able to put on a lot of weight since then without any loss of power or speed (in fact he's gained power, without losing speed). But Marquez hasn't. He's still a natural Super Featherweight.
Different fighters have different maximum effective weights. Marquez's is 135, Pac's is 147.
Marquez wouldn't even fight Khan at 140 because he thought he'd lose, he just can't carry any extra weight and he knows it.
He's only taking this fight because he knows Pac won't fight him at a lower weight, but it's a sham.Comment

I meant as opponents for Pacquiao. JMM was more deserving of a fight with Pacquiao than Clottey or Margarito ever were. Clottey and Margarito were brought in as replacements because of the on-again, off-again negotiations with Mayweather.
I'm not talking about whether or not he could beat Clottey or Margarito, I've just always believed that JMM was more deserving of a fight with Pacquiao than those two ever were.Comment

if the writer of that article assumes marquez will come in like the last handful of pacquiao opponents then yes, it will be the beating of his life.....
only thing is, JMM is nothing like pacquiao's last handful of opponents..... he takes chances, he fights to win, he's a sniper and a beast with it in the ring, he makes action fights and makes fight happen, takes any opening he can, he can pull the trigger unlike the last 5 or so of manny's opponents, and his style i think is a nightmare for pacquiao......
in reality, JMM has been manny's toughest fights and toughest opponent, how the **** can the author believe it's going to be the beating of JMM's life.......
pacquiao's fights have been sparring sessions compared to his fights with JMM and he hasn't been in a real fight since.......
JMM is the only real choice and only the real opponent for pacquiao at this precise moment.
now if pacquiao were to give him the beating of a lifetime, then it's fair to say, manny is the muth****ing man straight up and down, i just don't see this fight being a blow out or even one sided, i see it being a tough and gritty fight and a style war...............
one draw, one win, both controversial in scoring regards, both highly contested fights, both were awesome fights to watch, and both guys are top quality professionals who not only care about themselves and winning but the fans and the sport............
the ring editor is a fluffer...........Comment

u guys who think this fight will be competitive are idiots. Pac will put him to sleep right away just to close the chapter of JMM's beating Pac twice. Pac wont have no mercy. He had mercy against Cotto, Margarito and Mosley but still got annihilated and lost every rounds. JMM will be in the hospital for a career ending if this last more than 6 rounds. in JMM's best EVER weight and division he wasnt able to dominate Pac. what makes u think this will be competitive in Pac's best weight? bunch of Pac haters! get a life.Comment
