I don't think Eddie has a very high WBC ranking.

Wlad will dump the IBF belt at the beginning of 2012, rather than face Thompson or Chambers again.

He'll fight his WBA or WBO mandatories instead. There's a good chance Helenius will be WBO mandatory by then.

There's a lot of good fighters on the way up (Perez, Pulev, Price, Mitchell) for Wlad to fight in 2012 and 2013, so he doesn't need to fight the people the IBF recycles.

The guy has a solid resume at heavyweight, he lost to Wlad and Povetkin. Almost everyone loses to Wlad and everyone has lost to Povetkin (who has fought him.)

He probably wouldn't do any better at cruiser.

If Wlad grabs the WBA belt, I want to say he would drop the IBF instead of fight Chambers, but I know that's not going to happen.

Vitali may retire after Adamek, and definitely won't be fighting past 2012. After The belts are all in the Klitschko family, Vitali will likely retire. Wlad has to know that after Vitali retires, there's a chance for him to become undisputed, unified champ if he fights for and wins the vacated WBC title. You know Wlad wouldn't pass up that opportunity.

            He'll keep the belt.

its not uncommon for this to happen.many guys have rematches but what will be interesting is if wlad beats haye will he vacate the title or will he make the defence.the sanctioning bodies made akinwande the mandatory challenger again after he was dq"d in the first fight.lewis vacated his one title & chose to fight more lucrative opponents then face him again.i bet wlad will fight him.the belts seem much more important to them then previous eras champions.larry holmes vacated too at one point.

This is one of the rematches I don't care to see. Wlad dominated Chambers the first time around and there was nothing that Eddie did to indicate a different result..

Like Tunney stated, there are many more contenders in the hw division that are deserving and qualified to contend for the title (against Wlad). You got Bob Helenius whose winning big fights left and right and gets past a couple more good oppponents he's in line for shot.

Actually, Eddie really wants a rematch with Wlad. I've talked to him on facebook on numerous occasions about it. Getting another crack at Wlad is his main objective.

Tell him he's lucky he didn't get DQ'd for bodyslamming. Next time he plans on fighting dirty like that he should actually be able to back it up.

He's a solid heavyweight fighter but he'll never beat either Wlad or Vitali and he has no business in there with Wlad again.

i hope wlad does this if he wins.the problem is the klitschkos have no competition.what the young guys need to do is fight each other & target the aging recycles & get them out of the way.with 4 world titles this leaves the door open for anyone to be a contender.with so many regional belts the rankings are watered down.to me it seems pulev & helenius are the 2 guys that are the biggest threats & they are fighting better guys every fight.helenius has beat 2 former world champions in his first 16 fights.povetkin started off fighting tough guys but not one of them could punch while helenius has taken on a few punchers.it would actually surprise me if he vacated.i could be wrong in my assumption but after haye or adamek there isnt many huge fights financially out there.time will tell but he needs to beat haye first.
