Why not? He has real skills and speed, and he is very small for a Heavyweight. Plus his lack of power would be much less of a factor at Cruiserweight. I'm sure he'd be the favourite if he fought Cunningham right now.

Chambers beats another guy Wlad has already KO'd, Thompson, and he gets another shot? Don't think that's a goer. The IBF should just be glad they have a dominant force holding their belt.

He couldn't make cruiserweight anyway, he doesn't have the willpower to drop another 10-15 pounds.

He has no plans to go back to Cruiserweight, you guys.

His goal in moving to Heavyweight was to bring a title back to Philadelphia, and he's staying at Heavyweight and continuing his pursuit of said goal.

He only has to drop 8lb. And I don't know what you're going on when you claim that he couldn't do it. Prior to the Dimitrenko fight he was scaling around 220lb in his fights. He came down to 208lb for that fight and has stayed there ever since, which seems to show good willpower to me.

Just because you lose weight doesn't mean you're going to be good afterwards. See what happened to Jones dropping back down from Heavyweight and Byrd dropping back from Heavyweight.

Draining himself to make Cruiser doesn't guarantee he'll be good.

208 isn't cruiser either. He has another 8 pounds to go just to make the limit.

He looked better against Dimitrenko than he had looked in years. Dropping another 8lb is not much to lose for a Heavyweight. You can't compare that with Jones and Byrd dropping more than 30lb in a single fight.

He wouldn't have to drain himself to lose 8lb.

8lb is very little for a Heavyweight to lose, and is not the 10-15lb you sited previously.
