How is Ishida more of a "real" opponent than the former world champion Ruslan Chagaev?

- He defeated Valuev to win the WBA HW title.

- He had a brilliant amateur record, winning gold in the world championships at super heavyweight in 2001 (Haye failed to win gold that same year, losing to Solis).

- He defeated Felix Savon (who KOed Tua in the amateurs) twice as a teenager (Savon won Olympic Gold three years after his first fight with Chagaev).

- He was undefeated.

Yet HBO refused to show Chagaev-Klitschko.

By the way, they are showing Haye-Wlad, but they have not yet decided on Adamek-Vitali.

Is it because fans "like to see" him or is it REALLY because he's black? Most Americans have never seen Haye. If they saw his fights with Audley and Valuev, do you honestly think they'd want to see him again?

why do you pay so much attention to color?

HBO has fighters they like regardless of color they are, but mostly american. you know white american, latin american, african american etc
