The two fights were nothing alike. Ward boxed the shit out of a rough-and-ready, albeit limited, opponent; Pacquiao was frustrated by an unwilling opponent but ultimately won on account of said opponent's abject lack of pugnaciousness.

If you were on this forum last night, you would think the 2nd coming of Ali was fighting last night. All I read was how Ward put on a boxing clinic/masterpeice against AA. Never mind the fact that AA stood there like a statue for all 12 rounds.

I have nothing against Ward, but I just feel his win is getting over rated given his limited opponent.

If you read the opening post thoroughly, you would also see that I compared Pac's performance against Clottey who fought similar to AA last night in the sense that both opponents went into a shell and barely put up a fight. Yet Pac still got criticized for that fight.

pacs performance wasnt criticized just clottey as an opponoent was criticized and again he was pacs choice abraham was wards mandatory.

I think everyone pretty much knew how this fight was going to play out. If you dig up my posts, you'll see that few days ago I predicted exactly what went down. I said Ward would put up a dominating yet boring boxing lesson while AA covers up and waits for that 1 big punch.

I had said that Arthur would come out more aggresive and throw more shots, be a bit dangerous early until Ward got him under control, Abraham would then revert to type and tuck up in his shell way too much which is how i saw it but the difference between us is i didnt find it boring, Ward was diverse and mixed up his attacks well, moved well and King Arthur kept it intersting because i felt he still carried fight changing power.

If ur asking about Clottey then i thought Pac was great against him, he went about buisness and beat the ***** out of a big strong guy. But like i said when i thought we were talking about Pac vs Mosley (i believe Pacs excuse about stiff legs, he wasnt bouncing around like usual) Manny is held to a higher standard and i think he should be too
