If I criticized the title being on the line when Pacman had Cotto come down to 144-145, I have to criticize the title being on the line by Cotto trying to have JCCJ come down to 155.

True that JCCJ is much bigger and true that catchweight fights for title bouts are going on everywhere but I consider this too much.

Cotto making JCCJ come down to 155 is a lot worst than pacman making Cotto come down to 145.

You have to keep in mind that on the fight Cotto had before Pacman, Cotto weighed in at 146 and that was 5 months before Pacman fight.

On the other hand, JCCJ has been having trouble to make 160 for the last 2 years including a fight on which was declared no contest because JCCJ used an illegal diuretic, furosemide, a banned medication, to make weight.

Like somebody had already mentioned, I hope that this is only an initial offer and if there is a signed contract, with a catchweight, the final agreement will be more close to at least 157-158. If that's the case, Cotto can even throw in a clause for JCCJ not to rehydrate over 165 (just to put a number) on fight night and that will be more fair than making him come down to 155.
