I could watch Pernell fight all day long!

People need to GTFO with "they're not real boxing fans" BS. Andre Ward is a good fighter but not fan friendly. He's like the Tim Duncan of Boxing. Great at what he does but not appealing to the masses.

A fan can appreciate boxing ability but still want to see KOs or fighters that let their hands go. Just because someone would rather have the latter, that doesn't make them less of a fan.

like another poster said, each sport has it's "thing" that people want to see. baseball has HRs etc. etc.

I think that boxers need to do a better job of finding a medium between their selfish needs and what the fans want. and they wonder why they aren't big attractions in the sport. because you're boring as fcuk. In the end, it's OUR ENTERTAINMENT and OUR MONEY.

probably because as well rounded as ward is his last couple fights look like wrestling matches more than boxing matches.i was actually a big fan of ward and i still am a fan but his last couple fights have been ugly and most people don't like ugly fights

lol look at this guy all butthurt. never understood why "real" boxing fans get mad at casual fans (which im more than) with their elitist mentality. "i know all the intricacies of the sweet science and appreciate a skilled boxing match." and if you dont appreciate defense you're not a real fan. too bad boxing wouldnt be on TV without "fake" boxing fans'/casual fans' money. You'd think people would want others to appreciate or just even keep up with the sport. SMH.

To get back to the topic, andre ward's clinch game is what ruins it. add to the fact that Froch did a much better job at beating AA.

It has nothing to do with KNOWING MORE THEN THE NEXT FAN, but I do find Casual Fans to be THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL! They want to get into these debates about boxing then when your call them out on their BS they get emotional and upset lol

I just have respect for what these guys do and the HARD WORK THEY PUT IN and the Training they put their body through and for a HALFA$$ fan to come and just totally disrespect them to me is a DISGRACE TO THE SPORT OF BOXING

sure it is fighters I am not a fan of but I wouldn't make 3-4 threads about them everyday trying to bash them

it is so easy for fans to have all these DEMANDS and try to tell fighters what they should or shouldn't do when they are watching on TV while the fighters are actually the one in the RING GETTING HIT!

I have more respect for fans who are HONEST and they come humble and respectful and say "I am just starting to get into the boxing because of Pacquiao or Mayweather so I am still learning the SWEET SCIENCE" compared to the Idiot who comes to these Forums and just attack every other fighters (besides their favorite fight) and just complains OVER AND OVER about the way certain fighters fight

                    because he usually is
no one saying Ward not A class
just a lot of clinching and awkwardness in his fights

I don't find him boring at all.

ward's last performance against AA was better... but i hate all that holding and hitting he does
