but my theory that martinez walks around at 185ish is supported by an article on boxing scene. 2 months into training camp, at the 30 day pre fight weigh-in, martinez weighed 177 pounds. Now this doesn't 100% prove my theory correct, because maybe he started that camp heavier than usual; got a little more out of shape from eating and drinking too much. Or perhaps he started camp at the same weight, and simply didn't start to make his cut until closer to the fight.
    Thanks.

Maybe he does walk around in the 180 pound range but it would be like AA fighting these SMW guys. I'd love for him to move up but I can see them bullying him around due to the size difference. I just hope he gets a good fight in October or November, he really knows that the American people want KO's in fights and when you are that kind of a fighter...stardom comes easier. On the flipside of the coin though, along with stardom comes expectations and when you don't get those KO's, even a decision win may be considered a letdown...ala last Saturday night.

He will either take on WBC middleweight champion Sebastian Zbik - if the German boxer defeats Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 4, or he will face the WBC' mandatory middleweight challenger - Marco Antonio Rubio - who recently knocked out the undefeated David Lemieux.

you right, Martinez is definitely not a natural super middle weight. I think he has, or will grow into a natural MW; looks like he packed some muscle on since the first PW fight. I just want to see him take the best possible fights. either way, he deserves to make some good money. he is in perfect tune with the fans, as evidenced by his more aggressive, higher punch output since the PW fight.

Bull**** again, Martinez is a full fledge MW, who weights 170 fight night.

And your whole post contradicts MArtinez fighting Pac!!!!

that's what im saying! should be on BAD! man i like rubio after seeing him dismantle lemieux - beat him senseless; if russ didnt save david, he would have had gotten the crap kicked out of him worse, and risked serious injury. that straight right hand on Rubio has some nice range, and carries pop.

If Chavez jr win's, SCUMBAG Arum will try everything possible to keep Martinez away from Chavez jr!! & Parasite Sulaiman will help Arum in that task!! ¿Rubio the #1 contender!? That's definitely PARASITE Sulaiman at work!! Rubio did beat an undefeated Lemieux, but Lemieux record is full of TOMATO CANS & the ONLY other name that sticks out in Lemieux's record is a 1st round KO win over an out of SHAPE, FAT & OVERWEIGHT Camacho jr..So I don't know why Lemieux was ranked so high..Anyway, Martinez will totally wipe out Chavez jr, Zbik & Rubio...
