I hate Floyd but I understand his frustration with American boxing fans.

of course most american boxing fans don't like gayweather
- his style in general is boring
- he has a little more punching power than paulie malignaggi
- he acts like a douche inside the ring
- he acts like a douche outside the ring
- he beats his ex
- he threatens his children
- he doesn't pay his taxes
- he defaults on loans
- he won't fight pac
- he pokes security guards in the eyes
- he threatens the parking police to have then shot by his thugs
- he slanders/libels people without any proof
- etc...
now what about all this attracts boxing fans except the most delusional and morally bankrupt of americans (*****s).Comment

What race exactly is American? Filipino-Americans still root for Manny, Mexican-Americans still root for Mexican fighters and its the same for anyone born in this country while their parents or grandparents are from another country. The fact is if Floyd had his same ****** Rick James "I'm rich b*tch" persona but he actually fought, not even Manny, but ANYONE he would actually get the respect he is always asking for because he's putting a whopping on anyone and anything.
And in truth this is the same for all athletes with ****ty attitudes, if you win the media and people in general will just let that slide because you are still a winner. Once they start losing you see the backlash, LeBron is a perfect example. The problem with Floyd is the guy says he is the "best ever" yet he doesn't fight the best, or really at all. 2 fights in the last 5 years, really? THIS is the definition of the best fighter ever? And it isn't even like he beat people who were a threat, might as well have the Heat come out and just BEATDOWN the Timberwolves or Wizards and they are the best team ever. It has nothing to do with people having "crappy" American fans, its just that 90% of Americans think "Hip-Hop" culture is completely ****in ******. No one cares how much money you have, they watch you because you fight and when you stop doing that people just stop caring and when you got Floyds persona they care less, faster.Comment

this ts is making a mistake of comparing other countries to america. it's not the same thing. america is founded by immigrants from countries all over the world. in things like wars they are united. but in cultural events like sport don't expect them to be. it's ridiculous.
i don't even know why mayweather is complaining when all he has to do is fight. if not, then retire. simple as that.Comment

This is not Olympics. Pro boxing is not USA vs Canada, Mexico, etc. Don't expect all Americans to root for a white guy/colored guy just because he is American. Doesn't work that way in America. Floyd should know better than this.

Ok, what makes you guys think that Floyd does not have a lot of fans. He has lots and lots. Just because nsb has a ton of people who dislike him does not mean that he his hated everywhere else.
I would say there's a lot of people that want to see him loose but that's the way it is when you're on top. He wouldn't be selling in the millions if he didn't. He is arguably one of the best boxers to ever lace up!Comment
