Should he have been warned? No ****. But my point is simple. The ref wont make a big deal out of it if it's more of an accident. Same with hitting below the belt. Anywhere below the beltline is techinicaly illegal. However, if a ref sees a punch go low but it his the guy in the outer thight, he seldomly; if ever, stops the action for a break. Intentional does matter, and it should matter much, much more. I look at the Tszyu/Hatton fight as an example. I think Hatton should have had 1 point taken off from his low blow on Tszyu because it was clearly intentional with bad intentions.

Peters, IMO, didn't do it intentionally. He was swinging upward and downward to a big tall guy who would lean to the side and turn his head. But it is illegal. Klitchko sucks at holding. John Ruiz is the king of holding.

Cotto needs to retire, now. He is no match for Mayweather or Hatton.

If it's unintentional, the ref will typically warn the fighter to make him aware that he's doing it, AT THE LEAST.

So, we do agree on the principles but not on the details, i.e. how Wlad being hit on the back of the head was treated.

I personally think Wlad should have been given time off (like in the punch below the legs) and no KD should have been declared.

The ref is, I dunno, old. He didn't see that Klitchko got hit while he was on one knee. Didn't see any of the rabbit punches.

Randy Newman is the worse ref working big fights today. He was a dirty fighter in his day and does not enforce the rules when he refs. Remember he was to one who took a chunk out of Chuck Wepners ear before Mike Tyson knew how good they tasted.

                  Newman just needs to retired.

                    Suck it up princess.

You and little miss peebdis crying about the knock downs is a joke.

He got hit and his legs went to jelly on a few different occasions. Deal with it.

Peter wasn't warned, and was smart to do what he did.

You guys will always find something to cry about. You should be thanking your lucky stars. "It" almost happened again.

I heard Lederman saying that Wlad could be taken a point off for holding, but Ruiz does that **** non stop, and it wasnt excessive at all. Peter hit in the back of the head but it wasnt his fault. Great Heavy Weight fight, the better boxer won.
