Originally posted by NautilusI watched the video and yes, Wlad was defending himself by slipping under the arm of Peter in the first case, but the punches on the back of the head (the first two KDs) were still illegal!
Also the punches that caused the first two KD's were not looping. They looked like very purposeful punches on the back of the head.
Peter did a lot of rabbit-punching on Sykes and Diaz, tons of it.
One day he will get punished for that badly.
Always crying.
Nothing but tear after tear...

Wlad was knocked down due to being tired and Peter's shots being heavy enough to more or less push him to the ground. Whether or not it is intentional is a huge factor. If you throw a large looping punch, and the person steps forward and you clock him in the back of the head is entirely different then somebody turning around with their back to you and clocking them with a straight right hand.
Guess what, speeding is illegal too. But going 10 over and going 40 over are entirely different.

It's about doing what you can get away with.
The ref's job is to enforce the fight, and if he makes a bad call, it's not the other fighter's fault for doing what he can get away with in the fight.
This is all a moot point in regards to the fight last night, because all of this alleged "Rabbit punching" some of you are cyring about was the result of Wlad turning his head away from Peter's punches.
That's 100% his own fault.
Stop flip-flopping it's not ok to cheat and then it is ok, depending on who YOU want to win, right?
Peter looked right at the back of Wlad's head before he threw the shots, that's an intentional foul. What Wlad was doing was tying his man up to minimize the chances of getting caught, countless fighters have done it. There's ****ing reason why it's illegal to hit a fighter on the back of the head, and ANY fighter that intentionally loads up on the back of someone's head should be penalized, period. That ****ing ref should be shot in both knees for being that ****ing ******.
