Maybe he saw what happened to Floyd’s career after he left TR and he didn't want to end up like that.

He prefers to be called "Massa Arum" complete with the black slavery slang.

Shugar Ray bought out his contract when he became pro. Manny should do the same! It doesn't make any sense he's getting taxed twice??!?! It makes terrible business sense. This is his time to make as much money for him and his family as he can.

That's cool but business is business. He should cut out the middleman and broker his own deals.

Floyd went from making lil money to making 20-40 mil paydays after Top Rank and he doesn't have to give up a huge chunk to Arum.

I am not saying that Arum isn't doing a splendid job but business wise Manny is at the point where he does not need Arum.

At this point Pac's name is benefiting Top Rank far more than Top Rank is benefiting Pac.

At the very least Pac should renegotiate more lucrative terms so that he gets a larger cut.

Look, from what I see, Manny seems to be an extremely loyal person, almost to a fault. He probably feels he owes Bob a lot and credits him for his success. Face it, whether we like it or not, Bob has played a huge role in making Manny, not just a boxing start, but a breakout celebrity.

Fact is, dude is a very rich Filipino in a foreign country. Everyday this guy gets hit up by strangers looking to make a few bucks off him. He trusted Bob, and Bob delivered. Yeah, he’s taking a huge cut, but he delivered.

I agree, Manny should negotiate a better deal but Manny doesn’t strike me as a very greedy person. He seems happy with his situation and is grateful to the people that helped him get ther.

                      Yes, its called Stockholm Syndrome.

Stockholm syndrome is a psychological behavior that appears in certain hostage situations. The condition appears when the hostage begins to show loyalty to or sympathy with the people who are holding him or her captive. Stockholm syndrome can also be used to describe the behavior of certain victims of domestic abuse, bride kidnapping, financial ****, fighters fed a steady diet of no hopers to fool the public, build a legacy and line the pockets of their promoter.
