Agreed. Cotto fought a hell of a fight. That being said, him being rocked and on shaky legs at the hands of natural 140 lb. fighters when he's not, especially against opponents he's supposed to beat leads me to believe he'll be another Vargas. He'll look good in most all his fights, then when he faces the elite he'll come up short.

I like Cotto a lot but whenever he tries to trade punches, I just can't help but hold my breath and see what happens next.

I could see those Torres punches coming from last week. Boy was he sloooooow. Cotto isn't going too far in this game, but it'll be a fun ride for us. Hatton or PBF will bust him up. Cotto should keep fighting one step below those guys and develop more defensive skills.

I'm buy all means not trying to defend cotto but, He didn't look himself tonight. AGAIN I stress the fact that I'm not making excuses for him but, he seemed slower and not that much of a defensive fighter as I am a customed to seeing. He wasn't even snapping his jab like he does. Nevertheless, he did good in showing his capabilities and his determination.

Maybe making the weight is getting harder.
