That fight was almost like a work of fiction. When people fantasise about a boxing match, it's like that.

I don't think Cotto has a glass jaw...

I am more a Cotto fan now...I have liked him, but wanted to see him in this situation...rocked many times...down on the canvas...got up...cleared his head...rocked more...cleared his head...rocked more...cleared his head...scored some knockdowns...rocked more...cleared his head...kept composure...and continued his display of world class ability and power

a glass jaw would have gone down several more times with the shots that Cotto took...both guys are big punchers...Cotto took shots, was rocked, and was able to recouperate fast...

people seem to think a rock solid chin means you NEVER get hurt or go down...

think Foreman/Lyle...good chins...good power...of course someone or both will go down with the shots they took...the one with the better chin was able to revive and live up to the hype with world class power...

      Cotto did just that

Did you see the Corley fight? He was exposed then, Corley was just out of gas. I believe in Cotto but hes being pushed TOO much.

Please note that my original thread title was "This fight is the nuts". It's not my fault that the threads got merged, making it look as if I started a thread about glass jaws.

i agree its good that he goes to thru this type of adversity in a fight now rather than in his biggest fight later because now he knows he can comeback from it ..i also agree cotto has a good chin if he had a weak chin he would of got ktfo !! torres was throwing punches with bad intentions...there will be alot of cotto doubters but i am not one of them name some fighters that would of took those kinds of punches ??? ..istill feel cotto is the future of the 140 lb. div.

You said it right Tyrant... Even though I'm a big cotto fan I Kind of hoped that he got into a fight like this so people can see that he doesn't have a glass chin. The man stood there took punches and gave punches and not for one minute ran. Some people might see it other ways but, I'm definitely happy with what I saw. Every boxer taste the canvas at some point whether it may be sooner or later.

exactly, and it wasn't like Cotto got hit with one punch in the entire fight...he got hit with powerful combinations and kept his composure...
