Its not like Pac was fighting the "popular" Clottey or the cheater Margarito. It was Shane Mosley who Mayweather did 1.4 million with. Pac at this point does a million a lone. He has just failed to sell more than Mayweather when fighting the same fighter so in a lot of peoples eyes it was a fail as Team Pac was attempting to "out-do" Mayweather.

The entire industry agrees that they failed at it. The fact that it was a poor showing as one guy wanted to get paid and the other was expecting a fighter with a half a tank of (low grade) gas to last less than half a fight didn't help either. Let alone being a on 2 plus year non winning streak.

Where Pac stands now, anything less than 1.4 million (with Mosley) is a fail. As even Mr. irrelevant who fights half as much did better. Anything less than a million in general is a fail for Pac at this point IMO. Same would go with Mayweather if he ever decides to fight again.
