1.2M people who paid for this got ripped off.

Glad I went to the bar to see this shit. It wasn't Pac's fault though, it was all Shane. Just like Clottey when he fought Pac.

Boxing needs to be back on national TV and Pac and Top Rank is leading the way. Unless your just a hater who doesn't care about the sport.

HBO was talkin **** about not wanting any more Pac fights and they have too much influence who fighters should face. e.g. They didn't want Martinez to fight his last 2 mandatories like a lil b*tch.

And GBP claims there a top promoter and they tried to defame Pac without a single shred of evidence yet they have only sold 50k PPVS this year?

Don't talk **** cuz when the numbers come you look like a ****ing moron.

      lol nice try.
but anything pac even his promoter, you'll go for.
if you were so much for boxing you wouldnt be counting the 8 division champ ****

If the fight sold 1.2 million.. That's 1.2 million that want there money back... The fight was a failure.. Horrible fight that bob made for the "casual" fans only for them to forget about ordering another ppv...

As for fans like you, you'd buy a ppv of manny taking a **** if they made one
Any PPV involving Manny is worth every penny And 1. But ya know, lady gaga is ok too.

Showtime/CBS hasn't had a PPV star since Tyson retired, now they have Pac (Cotto did well also, 250K buys) on their squad and you think they're going to let him walk? Because Shane Mosley ran in the ring? AFTER a minimum 1.2 mil buys?

If you really believe that you are as naive as they come.

On top of that, Strikeforce being bought by ZUFFA/UFC means they will be leaving Showtime soon which leaves a vacuum in their combat sports programming which they are obviously trying to fill with Boxing.

Do people not see what a big deal this is for not just Pacquiao and Top Rank but for BOXING? Pac has a exciting style inside the ring and is marketable outside the ring and so is Shane. They did ZERO trash talking and the fight was a huge success. This is what you need if you want boxing back in the mainstream where it belongs which in the long run benifits everyone that is in the boxing business.

HBO has took boxing as high as it possibly could. They are part of the reason why people say boxing is dieing and UFC is getting bigger. In order for boxing to stay #1 they need to reach as many viewers as possible which is where CBS comes in.

Every sport needs that one superstar that is marketable and exciting to watch which takes that sport to the next level. Pacquiao is that superstar. An absolute gentleman inside the ring and BEAST inside it. A congressman that is trying to end poverty and the P4P best fighter of a generation. The average fan/advertiser doesn't want to see a fighter acting like a complete douchebag outside the ring and then fights like Pauli Malinaggi inside it. Floyd has ZERO marketing appeal and mainstream appeal.

So to sum it up for you haters who just hate Pac or Top Rank, this is great for the sport of boxing. If you can't see that than your just a moron who should watch another sport b*tches.

Debate, what debate? 1.2 million is a success. Only a handful of fights have ever done more than a million PPV buys and this one was written off when it was signed as a mismatch. 1.2 million is amazing actually given that. Pacquiao now becomes the first fighter to have a 1 million plus PPV fight 4 straight years. He is the PPV king.

HBO's top guy almost got fired, if not got fired (Green), because he let Manny slip. Don't matter who Pac fights, he's a wanted man. It's like every Jordan game when he came back from retirement. Every one wants to see him. But hey, atleast you're keeping an eye out for Ortiz, Bradley, or Berto. Someone gots to watch them too.

pac fought a mexican who doesnt speak english & whose reputation around sports was **** yet sold 1 mill plus ppv,

pac fought a african with zero fan base & sold 750k ppv,

now pac fought shane, a fighter nobody gave a chance to win & a fight a lot of people DERIDED as a crap fight & still sold 1 mill plus.

i cant believe people are even debating whether or not 1.2 mill plus ppvs is a success.
