Every division has them. Guys like Katsidis, Bika, Miranda, Glen Johnson, Orlando Salido just to name a few. They may lose to the very elite of their division, but they can pretty much beat everyone else. I mean Pacquiao beating Clottey is the same as Marquez beating Katsidis, Ward beating Bika, Dawson beating Johnson just to name a few.
It's only when your name is Pacquiao that you don't get credit and people look at it as a cherry pick, when if you follow the history of the sport, every elite fighter in a weight class fights and beats guys like that from time to time.
Clottey was a solid win of a top 5-7 WW, so I never got the problem as far as that fight was concerned.
Maybe I would be cool with it had it been just one of those. But to follow with 3 more 'just wins' a you put it?
I'm not for that, personally.
And of course if your name is Pacqiauo, Pacqiauo is in a higher standard than the average good fighter. Pacqiauo is an ATG, and THE best fighter in the world currently. He is obviously put in a higher standard then others in terms of who he should be fighting.

Marquez accepted the offer and Schaefer is throwing names out there for Marquez and hoping one sticks, including Ortiz...
Marquez accepts terms for Pacquiao fight, Golden Boy to respond
Manny Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum, said Tuesday that Juan Manuel Marquez has accepted a revised offer to fight Pacquiao in November. The hitch is that Marquez's promoter, Golden Boy, has the opoortunity to match the deal, and its chief executive says he plans to.
Golden Boy Chairman Richard Schaefer told The Times on Tuesday that it's his understanding Marquez has agreed to a Pacquiao fight at a lowered welterweight catch weight of 144 pounds, with $5 million guaranteed in what would be a third meeting between the fighters.
Pacquiao and Marquez battled to a 2004 draw, and Pacquiao won a split-decision in 2008.
Yet, through this year, Golden Boy has the contractual ability to match any financial deal Marquez, the world lightweight champion, is offered, and Schaefer said he has an open date Sept. 17 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas reserved for a bout against new world welterweight champion Victor Ortiz of Oxnard.
Ortiz has previously fought at 140 pounds, so he could fight at 144, too, Schaefer said.
Regarding the finances, Schaefer said he was confident Golden Boy could secure a $5-million payday for Marquez, saying, "I'm sure HBO would be on board," with paying as much in its licensing fee.
Schaefer said there's a possibility newly crowned world super-welterweight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez could stage a title defense on the Sept. 17 card.

If HBO and GBP offer Marquez $5 million for either Ortiz or Canelo (who can't make 150 let alone a 144 CW), then they are dumber than they seem... which is saying a lot.
They should scrap the JMM-Diaz in Mexico nonsense and get this thing done in late July or August. If Pac demolishes JMM which I suspect he will, he can fight one more time in Dec, maybe against Bradley (who should be featured on the undercard of Pac-JMM, but his $1.2 mil guarantee is more than the entire undercard of Pac-Mosley)

Of course, this isn't an ideal world.
But atleast Bob Arum did mention Tim Bradley as an option which is a step in a good direction in my book. I see that as legit.

Pacquaio is a comfortable WW now, with the power and strength of a WW. Marquez isn't, no matter what he weighs on fight night.
The weight does matter. Marquez says this himself.

And FWIW if you wanna say Marquez looked like crap at WW, so did Bradley when he face sorry a$$ abregu. Dude looked far from a world beater in that fight if we're keeping it real about this situation.

I say this because while I was a fan of Floyd at one point, I didn't agree with his career choices. Did I sit around a pc flaming his every move? No, I just made a choice to ignore him and follow other fighters. Now I'm not saying your flaming his every move, that was me speaking in general, rather just me asking why do you care so much?
Just say what you got to say and keep it moving.
I care because I'm a fan of boxing. I want to not have bull**** fights like this. Manny is a special fighter, who has had a phemominal career. But I don't want to see him fight bull**** fights and I'm sorry his least 3 at the very least have been that (including if he does end up fighting Marquez)
I hold any fighter who is at the top in this standard. Did the same thing with Oscar, Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather. Two of those being some of my favourite fighters ever. I simply don't support that and as fans we should be vocal about this. Atleast in my view.
So yeah, that's why I care.

Bradley wasn't too impressive. But by God was the better than Marquez. And mainly, he looked better phycially at the weight than Marquez. Add the fact he is currently only one weight class lower that happens to be his first weight class. You can't really compare the 2.
And Bradley, although I believe Manny kills him. Will be an Ok with me. But Bob Arum has said he is interested and I'm sure Pac will oblige so I am happy with that atleast.
