I don't get why people are bent out of shape about this, even though they'll have that 'catchweight', there is nothing that would prevent jmm from come in at for example at 138 at weight-in. He can then rehydrate to a comfortable weight during fight night, I really don't see the issue.

I thought that this was the fight most boxing fans wanted (outside of PBF). This is a guaranteed war, jmm always brings it to the ring, and they're perfect for each.

I for one I'm looking for forward to this.

    never count jmm out

All this time, Floyd was right.....Move over Ray Robinson!!

Floyd just might be the greatest of all tme after this legit win!

In all seriousness, I'm not surprised to see people excusing the fight with the typical "It's not what I want, BUT..." garbage. Four fights in a row Pacquiao has served up bull**** and yet these people still come back for seconds. Not sure what view they prefer, his ass or his crotch but they willingly lap up both.

But a legit win a the weight, No?

If so, Floyd fought him coming off a 2 year lay off whilst he was P4P #2. Surely thats a legacy enhancer, No?

Well, in reality, it's not. You know why? Because Marquez has clearly shown he doesn't belong at 147. That's all there is too it.

Marquez has been calling him out, Ok. Marquez says 147 is fine for him, Ok. Manny knocks him out and shuts him up, Ok.

But you can't expect this fight to be seen as legit, you just can't.

          Why?

You're acting like I give Floyd credit for fighting Marquez at 147. I don't.

Floyd gets no credit for fighting Marquez at 147. It's a bull**** fight.

That goes for anyone who fights him at this weight.

And yes, believe it or not, that does also include Manny Pacquiao.

I hate catchweights but I'll watch the fight, because I know that no matter how long it lasts, Marquez, faded or not, styles up perfectly to Manny and will make a fight out of it.

I don't think weight will have any bearing on this fight. Marquez will willingly trade with Manny and get his punches in. It will be a war and it will be entertaining.

More than anything, Marquez deserves a big payday. He has given a ton to the fans and the sport.

              Same.

I was suprised when people talked about Clottey being a legit fight, one in which I don't see as legit.

Then I was suprised when people gave him credit for Margarito, I didn't expect it.

When Mosley came I was skeptical considering they all had excuses for Floyds win over him. But low and behold they found a way around that.

Now this fight, I thought, surely there is no way they can call this one legit. But, obviously I'm wrong again.

              It's quite amazing.

They both want to weigh in and come in comfortable; but I doubt you will find that type of reasoning on these forums. Size is not an issue for Marquez and Nacho because they know they are about the same size.

Not to knock anyone but if you gave any of those guys a chance...you need to take a long hard look in the mirror because you are either A. a ******* or B. a ******.

And I'll go on record now and say...after watching a Marquez who has no legs left get tagged repeatedly by MICHAEL KATSIDIS, his legs are going to be even worse at 147 and he's going to get soundly drubbed in yet another ****ty, well-timed fight courtesy of the humble Congressman.

why isnt clottey a legit fight? he's a top ranked WW at that time and there was no catchweight. because he lost a CLOSE fight to cotto? it wasnt the greatest fight out there but pac is campaigning at WW and the other best fighter in that division learned how to quack. berto and mosley were already scheduled to fight.
