    Go figure

BTW...props for being a real fan and believing in your favorite fighter. If Manny was going up in weight against Martinez, I wouldn't be crying about Martinez being the bigger man and how it's not a fair fight...especially if Manny didn't have an issue with it.
I keep telling you guys that I am a fan first before I am of any fighter. Juan Manuel Marquez has my full confidence. Hopefully he comes to fight and there is no bull**** like what happened in the fight this past weekend.

Well, in reality, it's not. You know why? Because Marquez has clearly shown he doesn't belong at 147. That's all there is too it.

Marquez has been calling him out, Ok. Marquez says 147 is fine for him, Ok. Manny knocks him out and shuts him up, Ok.

But you can't expect this fight to be seen as legit, you just can't.
If your wanting to know if I will be bragging/boasting about this win, then the answer is no.

What this fight does is finally close the chapter on Marquez vs Pacquiao and silences the critics.

Manny destroys Marquez, then that ends all the talk on:

        1. Manny ducking Marquez
        2. Manny hasn't improved since they last fought
        3. Manny fighting the same style of opponents since JMM

and any other excuse people can throw out there.

I say this because people claim Manny won't fight a full fledge WW (due to the catchweight against Cotto. Manny then goes on to beat Clottey at 147, the guy who many claimed beat Cotto when they fought in June.

Then it's Manny won't fight African Americans and he is ducking Mosley, he signs to fight him and many people claim he should be fighting Marquez instead. Not only does he embarrass Mosley by making him retreat all night, but is in talks to fight Marquez, yet people still complain.

I will say this, I know people will flame Manny no matter what he does, but I gaurantee you wont hear any Marquez this or Marquez that talks from his haters. Just like you aren't hearing any flaming about him not facing full fledge WW's, African American fighters and soon to be the b.s. of him facing tailor made fighters and Marquez beating him twice.

          Whats wrong with JMM? Nothing.

Whats wrong with this fight being above 140? Everything.

Marquez has proved he doesn't belong at 147. Hense why he moved straight back to 135, saying " The weight bothered me"

No one should get credit for beating Marqeuz above 140. Even if your name is Manny Pacquaio.

          • it doesnt matter of the weight. if marquez comes in his lightweight form he will be 145 on fight night, thats all that matters. both are of smiler size, pac will be at around 148 on fight night while marquez will not have bulked up and be around 145

the reason floyd vs marquez was such a joke was because mayweather is a natural ww, weighs around 160 on fight night while marquez was a lightweight and bulked up to crap, floyd was also much bigger. pac is a small ww, the first two fights were so close, marquez deserves a third shot

              good ****....

I never liked Marquez, due to the whole Hamed and Morales (two of my favorite fighters) incident. With that said, I never questioned his talent, heart and ability. I know d@mn well Marquez will bring it for 12 rounds and Manny will have to kill him before he quits in the ring.

That's why I'm not upset with them going with JMM because he is a warrior, I have never denied that about him.

if marquez fights pac at 140, he still comes in his lightweight form of 145 on fight night

if he fights pac at 145 or 147, the exact same applies, use your logic mate, as long as marquez does not bulk up, the weight does not matter. pac is a very small welter, this wont be a miss match at all, pac will only be around 3-4 pounds heavier in the ring. if marquez was fighting a normal or big ww and bulked up like last time, then there would bea huge prob with the fight

marquez has chased this for years, he had two close fights, he deserves this

                • Fight should be @ 140. Pac can easily make the weight. If Pac can eat six full meals a day and still only be 142 the morning of the weigh-in, then he can make 140. And didn't Pac say that he hated overeating?

It's just a win. Nothing more, nothing less.

Why does every Pacquiao fight have to be a legacy/career defining fight? No fighter in the history of the sport has match-making like that, and quite frankly that's not even possible.

It's weird how supposedly these guys are the same size yet they're two divisions apart. Oh wait...we're talking fight night weight, making Arturo Gatti a viable middleweight.
