the weight won't matter as much because marquez is not fighting a guy who will weigh 10-15 pounds more then him on fight night. marquez and pacquiao will both be the same weight at the weigh-in, AND on fight night.

I do not think we will see Pacquiao cutting weight anymore. They feel it hinders his performance. I don't like this catch weight bullsh|t anymore than anyone else does.

It just comes down to Manny not willing to make the sacrifice of cutting weight to make the fight. It is what it is. We don't have to like it or watch it.

Size has nothing to do with why I think Marquez will lose badly this time around. I think he will lose badly because he is not the same fighter he was when he fought Manny the first two times. He still has amazing skill, but is slowing down and showing much more wear and tear in recent fights.

I personally do not like this fight happening at all except for the fact that JMM will be getting a nice payday to retire with. I would rather see Pacquiao fight Bradley or Judah myself.

Agreed, this fight is crap, Pacquiao should be fighting Bradley already.

Marquez has no issue because of pride, but anyone with eyes has seen that it IS a problem. He is gonna get killed. History (of these two fighters) has shown that Manny can carry that weight like a ****ing champ. History has also shown that Juan looks like he is fighting under water at that weight. He is one of my all time favorites, but he is getting bombed out in horrible fashion at this weight. He has been getting hit more as of late anyways, and add slowing reflexes to that at a higher weight and its a recipe for another cherry picked beatdown. Pac wanted nothing to do with Juan when Juan was at the same weight and chasing him around the world begging for a third fight. Now he wants to fight Juan at a weight we all know he cant handle, and after seeing him get caught so much by a guy like Kat. Pac and Bob and Freddie know this is a bull**** fight. Why are they so afraid to put Manny in a fair fight?

He wanted Manny so much that he turned down the biggest purse in his career for a 30k fight against chris john.

With that said, this is the fight Marquez wants. He could have easily got a great payday against khan but again it's Manny he wants.

If I'm a fighter and a smaller guy says he can come to my weight class and beat me, calling me out to the point that he almost come off as a stalker....then I'm gonna say fvkk it, let's fight?

Manny hasn't said anything as far as calling Marquez out and even stated a few months ago that he is wasting his time fighting Marquez. The problem is that so many have claimed he hasn't improve, Marquez beat him twice, and that Manny is a product of match-making......why not find out as seen them fight each other.

FWIW this flaming is coming from Marquez, his fans, GBP, several boxing writers etc.

As soon as this fight becomes a reality, now we see a ton of back-tracking and excuse making. Go figure...smh

it does matter,just because they will be around the same weight come fight night,doesn't mean they both will perform the same,,,manny is used to fighting at this weight,his body was able to adjust,jmm didn't look good above 140,yeah a lot had to do with floyd,but he still looked bloated,he looked slower,even if they weigh the same,manny keeps looking fast,marquez will look slower,so it does make a difference...i still think marquez is no more than a lightweight,if a rematch had to happen it should have been right away,manny back then was offered 6 million which was the most he would have made at the moment,there really wasn't an excuse to not take the fight,he just said at the end "this business is over"...heck being in a tough fight like that and barely winning,i don't blame him for saying that

marquez offer is not bad i guess but what were people thinking that mosley - pac was going to be a good fight? i mean have people watched shanes recent fights he gassed like after round 2 against FMJ and mora and the same with mora and before that it was like round 4 against margarito hes been past prime since 2005-06, truly was dissapointing but i hope if pac-marquez iii gets made that it is more entertaining and competetive either then a glorified sparring match

Even if Marquez is giving weight, he is a great fighter and there have been dozens of great fighters over come weight difference to get career defining wins. If they can do it, why can't marquez?

Not trying to dictate anything to you. As long as we understand that all that fight night weight means squat then REGARDLESS of what you think, it's a matchup between Pacquiao and older, slower Marquez with no business at welter. Period. On PPV. Once again.

jmm can come in at 140 if he wants to....145 is the limit....
